Rip Off
Car broke down and AAA towed me here. They charged me $97 to just look at it then tried to charge me $57 for spark plugs I didn't ask them to replace.
They said it would cost $4,000 to repair/replace my computer and to install new ignition coils. This was the issue but these repairs on my own will cost MAYBE $500. I removed my car from his lot after paying the initial $97 and upon looking under the hood several things were loose and one of the screws to my engine cover are missing. Really didn't appreciate trying to be robbed in my time of need.

Hi Tristen S, we are truly sorry you are frustrated with your experience. We shared the diagnostic fee upfront before we looked at the vehicle. The three front plugs were added to the bill because they were necessary to test your misfiring car. Additionally, when you requested we remove them from the invoice we did so. The diagnostic we provided was accurate as you mentioned and we provided a detailed estimate. We recommend a PCM, six spark plugs, one coil, and a computer reprogram. There may be some confusion on your part the total cost of parts and labor for the repairs was only $3108. The majority of cost was for the car PCM/computer. The Mazda dealer's retail price is $3398 for the part, however we found the part for significantly less at a price of $2000.19. This was in an effort to provide you savings on an expensive part (ZZC1-18-881R-0A). We choose to go with original equipment to achieve the correct repair the first time and support a good warranty. We understand that there are different ways to repair cars and we are glad you found a direction that met your requirements.
