Inexperience and lack of knowledge
Took them 5 days to diagnose my truck issues and over $600.00 just to tell me what the guy at the parts store said was the problem. Either they just wanted my money or they didn't know much about engines. I called 3 different repair shops and all 3 knew what the problem was without even seeing my truck. These guys need to stick with doing oil changes only

Your vehicle came in with 2 misfire codes and an ignition coil code.  Knowing numerous components could cause this you asked us to diagnose the issue.  We proved it wasn't a spark plug or ignition coil causing the misfire.  You gave us permission to prove it wasn't a bad fuel injector.  You also gave us permission to remove the valve cover to prove it wasn't a rocker arm or pushrod issue.  Next step in the diagnostic process would be remove the cylinder heads for camshaft inspection (probable cause of misfire), I provided you an estimate to replace the camshaft as well as an estimate for a remanufactured engine (with a 3 year 100k mile warranty).  You declined further work.  We kept you updated each step of the way and you approved every dollar before we did the work.  I'm sorry your engine has issues but please don't hate us for diagnosing it.
