I had to leave the car overnight so that the next morning , when you started the engine you could hear what the problem seemed to be. It was later confirmed to me that it was the starter that needed replacing. The work, for some reason wasn't done on the second day and by the third day I was told you needed gaskets to complete the job. As we needed the car back I made another appointment for Thurs (1/12). I left the car at your shop on the evening of Wed (1/11) . I was told the work was done on Thurs and was charged almost $1,000.00 for the starter job plus an oil change(since I was told that there was almost no oil in the car when it was first brought in) , replacement of a PCV valve (which I was told was needed) as well as replacement of the cars battery (as I was told the car had the wrong battery in it???). I was guaranteed by the desk attendant (think it was Chris) that the car was fixed and would not make the sound when the engine was stated in the morning. The car was ready for pick up at 3:30 in the afternoon ...after I called at 3PM.
I checked the oil Thurs evening and besides being jet black on the dip stick the oil level was at least an inch over the full marker. I'm wondering if the oil was really changed or if someone just dumped a quart of oil into the crank case?
On Friday, I started the car and it again made the same grinding sound. I immediately brought the car back and was told that it was "thought" that it was the starter. Note, on Thurs morning my wife and I had breakfast at the dinner across the street and noticed the car parked in your the lot. When I went to pick the car up after it was "repaired" the car was in the exact same spot as it was in the morning.
Bottom line here is that I was charged for repairs to the car that seems to have been not needed and believe I am entitle to a refund for the work done.
