There are a couple of reasons I love taking my cars to Penryn Auto, and one of the biggest is HONESTY! I know, no matter what, John will be honest with me. Last week, I took my 2007 Civic in for a brake job after driving a rental car. The way it shimmied around when braking in the canyon made me believe my car was due for one. Plus, there’s nothing like driving a brand new rental car to make you think your old car has a host of problems in comparison! So, I drop the car off the night before the work is scheduled, and leave John a message to just fix whatever he finds. I call John the next day to see how it’s going, and he informs me I still have 40% on the front brakes, and 30% on the back, and can therefore wait to do the work. Apparently, the shimmying around was because someone incorrectly adjusted the brake when I got an oil change at a different place! I don’t live in Penryn, so getting the car there and back is a bit of work, so I decided to get the back ones done even though they had more time. John could have just gone ahead and fixed both front and back, and I never would have known that I could have waited . . .but he was honest! That’s a major reason I love taking my vehicles to Penryn Auto!
