I’m at a stage in life when I am starting to find myself occasionally dependent on the kindness of st
rangers and neighbors. A couple months ago I had a good experience with FHAS for some small work on my car and now needed them for a fairly large set of services, which included making my car pass inspection and EPA requirements. When they explained to me that after the work was done I would have to drive the car on the highway for 100 miles to pass the EPA test my heart sank a bit because I have congenital heart defect that makes long highway trips difficult and daunting. But I need a legal car so needed to do what I could. An hour or so later FHAS called me up and said that one of their workers needed to make some sort of trip that was about 50 miles there and back and could drive my car the 100 miles for me if that would be helpful. I jumped at the offer without asking what that cost would be and my stress melted away. When I went back for my car this morning, I was charged the amount of the original quote for the services. I get neighborly vibe from these folks and am glad if others benefit from reading about my experience.
