Family vehicle

Great overall travel & hauling

Very comfortable and smooth ride even on long trips. Great for hauling items and having the cover over the bed is great also. We love it so much that when it is time to replace ours we will do so with another Avalanche!

Dependable workhorse

Had truck almost 13 years and still going strong.Would buy another if they still made them.Invaluable transportation,dependable family vehicle.Truck has been used by my family,which consists of 4 children and 5 grandchildren and all the pets we’ve owned.Absolutely love this truck.

My Avalanche is perfect for trips with my wife & my fishing tournaments that I travel too !! I have added a bedslide in the back of my truck which makes my luggage & fishing equipment very accessible !

Driving my Chevy Avalanche I have never felt safer on the road I've driven other trucks and cars but this one just feels better More balanced and stable I love this vehicle I would definitely buy another one.

Truck of the year at one time

Bought this 2005 “used” from a carlot of questionable integrity and it required a lot of repairs, and continues to run great. A “Good”owner will have no issues with this well made truck. Recent events offered the opportunity to use The 4X4 “auto” feature - it’s great!

The Chevy Avalanche is a gem of a truck!

The Chevy Avalanche is a pickup with excellent style, comfort and dependability. It handles more like a luxury car than a pickup. We test drove several pickups before trying the Avalanche. The difference in comfort and handling was quite remarkable. We are still pleased with our Avalanche six years after our purchase.

Best bang for the buck

This truck has just been a great purchase its very versatile, sporty, reliable, great looking and performance. Very smooth comfortable ride, decent gas mileage. When new, it was getting 22 mpg on highway 18 in city now I get 18-19 highway and 14 in the city My only complaints is the plastic molding fades, interior was not very nice or sporty even when it was brand new. 5.3 liter is great but My lifters were ticking at 170,000 miles pretty common for this motor. Also the bed is smaller but still very useful.

Good vehicle

Love the vehicle. Expensive to operate on longer trips. It's comfortable to ride. It's ok fore a family. Kids can watch a movie or play games on the DVD player. Sunroof is grate to use. Overall a grate vehicle.

Best Vehicle ever owned

This Avalanche rides like a dream compared to a regular pickup truck. No bounce down freeways. Has all features needed and that were available back in 2005. Custom ordered with Z66 package. Always had extended cab pickups before and the Avalanche is by far my favorite.

15 years & still going

Almost 400,000 miles on the engine and still going. Body is starting to leave me! Wish they were still making them ! Comfortable ride whether empty or loaded with 1700 lbs. Really like the 3 piece bed cover @ side panel compartments.

Chevy does it again!!

I love my truck, BUT......... too bad chevy has a bad design in their heater system. This is not the only model, GMC has the same problem. The module for the heater is in a bad spot, if the rain gets in, it will short out leaving you with no heat!!
