Love this vehicle!

Purchased pre-owned, certified, in 2014. It only had 46,500 miles on it. I keep it clean & waxed, & never neglect services that might be needed. This 2005 sedan serves me VERY well for any, & all, needs that I may have. (Just wish that it had side mirrors that were more capable of detecting blind spots on my L.

Has been reliable

Only gave me one problem and it was a recall which was fixed at the dealership at no cost to me. Great handling and comfortable. Great on gas. Like the color. Tires are cheap. Found it strange that the battery was in the trunk but have had no problems with it.

great engine

The engine and pick up on the cobalt is great. It seems to handle the road wonderful. The only problem I have is that it is very low to the ground, which makes it hard to get in and out of. It also seems to pick up a lot of salt from the road, so it rust fairly fast. Other then that it is a great small car.

Chev Cobolt 2005

For the most part I like my car. It meets all my travel needs. It is a great little car. There are a couple of things I would like better...I wish it had four doors...the two doors are heavy and swing out too far. At time it is troublesome...I have to be so careful when I park ,not to hit the car nest to me. The back seat has little room so basically it is a two person car. Otherwise it is a great car for me as I usually drive alone.

It's been a reliable sedan to get me whereby need to go. I purchased it, used with just 46,500 miles. And I've only put on 10,000 miles on it since. (Think Pandemic lockdowns)

I take good care of the outside of the car---keep it spray waxed & 2 years pay to have it professionally detailed with a shine sealant. And I count on Firestone to keep all of the working parts in good order to prevent unnecessary problems on the road while I'm using it. The only drawback to a sell sedan is that one's vision as to what might be happening on the road ahead. If I could afford it, I'd get a Ford Escape which would have mr up a little higher so I might better see what traffic might be like ahead of the car in front of me. But this 2005 Chevy Cobalt was an excellent buy in 2014 when I'd been given permission to drive again after 24 yrs of not being able to due to health conditions. So, after a 2nd round of Driver's Ed & getting the feel of driving again, it's given me a tremendous sense of freedom-(no more begging for rides for everywhere I needed to go). For that, I'm truly grateful!

It's a very reliable sedan---

It gets me where I'm going. But there are so many SUVs, vans & trucks on the roads, now, I hate getting stuck behind one of those, because I have NO idea of what's in front of them, & if they decide, at the last minute to make a L turn--(w/o using their signal, a pet peeve of mine), I'm just always glad that I've left enough space between them & me. It's great on gas, has had few problems since I bought it preowned 7+ yrs. ago. But it had very low mileage---& still does. esp. since the pandemic stopped my volunteering, & driving less. I'm already short, so I'd wIsh for a small, economical SUV, if I could get one. But that's not gonna happen, unfortunately. But at least I have a reliable vehicle of my own.
