Comfortable & Strong

I bought this 2019 Grand Caravan GT used. It drove like a brand new vehicle. It's my 4th Grand Caravan to which I've used them all for carrying a sound system and a five piece set of drums all over Florida, Georgia even all the up to Virginia. My GT has a stronger engine than my past vans, leather package plus all the buzzers & whistles including a heated steering wheel. It is my favorite automobile I have ever owned and I've had a 280ZX, a BMW, an Acura...

Typical

To recap our experience with this vehicle since inception would include the following: Broken Thermostat ~15,000 miles, new tires replaced at 39k with 80k tread ware and 73k with the same. Failed head gasket at 56k and new brakes replaced twice in about 51-months. So for a car that is driven mostly to and from school and town for our children’s extracurricular activities, this $38,000 POS is not worth it.

Very satisfactory.

Driving these vans for 20+ years. Just what I need: reliable, good gas milage for a van, comfortable , lots of space, Stow and Go seats (one of the best features), No, or very few problems over the years. Sorry they are no longer made.

It gets you there.

Road noise while driving. Plastic handle broke on passenger door. It was a used vehicle when I purchased it. I have had no mechanical issues since I purchased it. Long distance driving is okay. Fuel is okay if you on highway and maintain speed.

Oil change issue

I purchased my van and was. Very pleased with the performance & space of the van. However, when I went for an oil change the cap would not come off Cost $1066 to repair. Not my average oil change cost

Love the vehicle, not the dealership!

We bought the 2019 to replace our 2015 which was the best vehicle EVER! It had big tires to fill. If you need a minivan Dodge is awesome. Our 2015, we still see it because my daughter has it. I've threatened to trade. I absolutely hate the light interior and no Sirius radio. We thought we were getting a black on black van with Sirius radio. I went to St. Clair Chrysler Thursday January 24, 2019 to sign the paperwork. After four phone calls from our salesman I arrived at 3P. He goes to get my paperwork and NO VAN, they sold it the night before. They will find me a new one, exactly the same. We are leaving the following Wednesday on a birthday cruise, driving to FL, my daughter was down a vehicle and needed the van ASAP. I left the dealership angry, sad and should have kept driving. I get a call Friday night, they found the "exact car" they are having it delivered Sat. I could come and see it. It didn't come Sat, I asked for a copy of the window sticker. It had a grey sandstone interior. I immediately called and said its not the same, what color is sandstone? We have 3 dogs and 3 kids that ride in the car. I was told its a dark beigey grey I told him, it won't work. I need black. "We will fix it" so I'm thinking they are probably going to scotchguard it or something to make it work. We go up to the dealership on Monday to sign the papers, my husband goes out to look at it and says "it will work".they bought us some cheap seat covers for the back seat. The salesman takes me out to show me the features, this is during the polar vortex we had in January. I asked how do I hook up to Sirius? He handed me the brochure and said I would have to call. I drive away, my husband is following in the 2015. We drop the 2015 at my daughters get home call Sirius because we are leaving early Wednesday and I have to have my 60's on 6 oldies, the vehicle is not Sirius equipped. I am so angry now I can't breathe. I call the dealership I am talking to the salesman and the sales manager so this can't be swept under the rug because I am beyond mad. We will buy you Sirius can you bring the car up today NO, I would bring it up on Tuesday. For anyone that doesn't know how they "buy" Sirius you get a radio with all kinds of wires hanging off your dash, an antenna that slides around. He's going to hook it up to the fan and I said I don't want it permanently attached to anything because if it doesn't work I don't want it. He gets Sirius hooked up another hour and a half of my life wasted. To make a long story short, the van is awesome, no problems going from -30 degrees to 85 in three days. For some reason the 2015 got better gas mileage than this one. I still get to visit the 2015 and I have borrowed it a few times for old times sake. The Sirius radio sucks, it cuts out all the time. I've called Sirius and they have rebooted it. I'm about to boot it. The interior grey/sandstone sucks, the car is 7 months old and I made seat covers for the front, we scotchguarded it and its still looks filthy. My son advised we shouldn't be using the seat covers with the air bags. The dealership shouldn't have even suggested them. I guess the airbags don't work with seat covers. I wouldn't recommend St. Clair Chrysler to my worst enemy, well maybe to my worst enemy but no one I like. After you drive away from the dealership not only does your vehicle depreciate thousands, you are dead to them. I have called and written and never heard anything from them. Wait I did receive a tube of touch up paint for the little door dings. I can hardly wait to win the lotto because the first thing I'm going to do is trade this van in for Sirius radio and black interior.
