Runs really well

Mine is the 3.5Ll engine which is a reliable and runs strong. This car has run really good and has been reliable. The car is getting old, nearly 20 years, but still performs good. Don’t have much more to say but I have to get to 200 characters.

Good little car, but the motor needed to be replaced.

Overall, my vehicle is a 2001. Being that I'm the 3rd owner and knowing the prior owners, I know that my vehicle was maintained well. But that didn't change the fact that I had to replace the motor. It seems that Dodge decided to put 2.7 motors in these Intrepids that weren't designed to work properly with the transmission system. I had many mechanics tell me that the 2.7 motors were the worst in the 2001 Intrepids. I take my car to the mechanics on a regular basis to keep it maintained, but I wasn't happy about replacing the motor.

On 2001 Dodge intrepid

It's my daughter's vehicle which I bought her to where she could do better in life. She's doing just that. Work, school and other places. There a task to work on especially if you don't have a garage and in the cold. That's where a close station and good care plan meats to the best of our needs.

My inherited Intrepid 2001

I love this car!! Not just because it was my dad's but because it's comfortable, roomy, and has a huge trunk. I can haul things home that I buy because the back seats split and drop down creating a big flat hauling space. I have sciatic nerve problems but this car has a cushy seat that never agrivates it. I drive long distances comfortable as can be. I use synthetic oil and do routine maintenance and it runs like a charm!!
