I bought my 08 nitro SXT used with 169,000 mi on it though it is a gas guzzler I have no major problems with the vehicle in the year that I've had it thank goodness not good LOL just had to replace the pads and rotors after a year after I purchased it used and an oil change I bought it because it has high safety ratings and it's a nice looking truck I get a lot of compliments on it as with any vehicle you could get a lemon or get lucky as for used vehicles you can get one that was well maintained and that's lucky and I think I did I hope it keeps up the same

Good suv for the money.

Good solid vehicle. Expect to put some money in it every year once it gets older. That said, the vehicle is pretty easy to work on and the parts are reasonable and readly available. There are five of them in my Town and nobody is selling them.

2008 Dodge Nitro

I love my suv. Comfortable to drive, riding, a lot of room. She (Eleanor) is still in her prime, trustworthy. Buying a new car is not in my future. Went to Minnesota from Central Illinois, arriving there, got out from trip, it was like driving around the block.

Opinion of 2003 Dodge Nitro:.

I'm spoiled by my previous vehicle., a 1997 Toyota 4 Runner. The Nitro is too much controlled by computer. Fuel consumption is not as good; seats not as comfortable; no low-range transfer case; and it is harder to keep going in a forward direction in the ruts left every spring by the heavy studded tire traffic on the Glen. It is, how\ever smoother & quieter in the highway. Ammenities including radio, heater and windshield wiper controls are more convenient.

My baby

I absolutely love my Nitro. I bought her 8 years ago and with regular maintenance at Auto Tech Plaza on Fillmore. She continues to run like the day I bought her.

Love my Nitro

Other than the heating system needing to be flushed twice, I have never had one issue with my vehicle. Happy Dodge Nitro owner since 2009 !!

Excellent investment

Never had any serious problems.well worth my investment. Going on 7 years old and runs like a champ.don't understand why they got rid of these nitro SUVs. They work great in all weather including snow and sleet.
