2008 Ford escape

This car is basically the worst idea if you want to go anywhere off the beaten path good luck driving in snow this car is a total pain because of the slip assist are traction assistance which hinders you from even going up hills in the snow it slows you down to the point where you don't even have any traction or momentum anymore and you just get stuck

It's a Piece of . . .

But the guys at Arden Village keep it running. Of course, I haven't exactly been taking good care of it. If I had been more diligent in its maintenance, it may have had less problems . I have gotten my money's worth out of it.

Its been a fair vehicle for me. Not impressed by some of things ford has done in the design of the equipment. Its now getting a bit tired and in need of some tender loving care. I take very good care of my vehicles. I expected it to last through my driving experience but not sure it will make it. It dose have a good paint job its 12 years old and not fading good job to the finishing job.

2008 Ford Escape Hybrid

Unfortunately I didn't become the owner of this Escape before it had over 200K miles on it. I have spent a lot of time and money making it comfortable and reliable to drive, it has surprising power and good handing The most unsettling characteristics of this model is the red triangle of death appears on the dash and the display reads "Stop Safely Now", then the vehicle immediately shuts down. There is no derate or reasonable time allowed to stop safely, it just shuts down, any time any place. I don't think the TSA should allow any on highway vehicle to do this.

Ok Vehicle

Good visibility and drives nice on the road. I like the styling of the 2008-2012 models as well. We've had our share of problems however. Hybrid electronics coolant pump replacement, hybrid battery cooling fan replacement, three major leaks in the ptu unit (two fixed by dealer), a couple annoying rear door rattles, issue with the power moonroof falling out of adjustment and failing to close properly, electric power steering position sensor replacement, etc. The vehicle just turned over 70,000 in Oct of 2015.

2008 escape

Overall satisfied, but have needed brakes repaired more often than usual. Two things I absolutely dislike is that the driver's door does not stay open when trying to exit the vehicle and the design cUses me to bump my shin on entering the vehicle due to having the seat forwArd because I am short.

My New-2-Me Escape Hybrid

I was so happy to find a hybrid that fit my tall husband! I'm already loving all the roomy cargo space. I also appreciate the secure feeling I have driving this SUV with great visibility. My road trip today in very wet conditions was a snap, thanks to AWD.

2008 Ford Escape

The vehicle gets decent gas mileage, has room to carry items and I like the somewhat boxy shape of it. Haven't any major problems with and I have 154,000 miles on it

Catalytic converter to much for the price

I didn't like that nobody had that part. And they order that part and it take 4 days i went to 3 places and the same story. It will take 4days

I love driving it

Great car, comfortable and stylish it isn't fast right off but it catches up, handles all the stuff I carry as a musician too.and I've said enough but you want more words here so I'm just going to ramble for a bit...I write scary books too!

Escape 2008

Safe and dependable. My friends Mattie and Jim were in a horrific accident and the Escape saved their lives. Only a broken toe. The car was totaled. They had the same car I do!

2006 Ford Escape XLT

Love my Escape

I had a Ford Explorer XLT for 10 years and traded it in for my Escape in 2009. Both my vehicles were never in the shop for anything other than routine maintenance. I would buy another one in a minute!
