This is what a real SUV is.

Best SUV ever made, outclassed and out performed the Suburban. Can go places , do things, it is on a truck chassis. For the money, by a low mile V10 and slap a Banks power pack system on it and the performance will be astounding, cheaper to operate than the diesels and better longevity.

The best long distance travel vehicle besides a motor home

Ford should of never stopped making Excursions. I've been in new Suburbans and Tahoes and not nearly the ride of an Excursion!!! Yes we all know Ford has issues with 6.0 and newer deisel engines but hopefully they will stand by there replacement parts once you need to fix yours????

Worst choice I've made for a vehicle

Issues started with the turbo failing at 1200 miles. Environmental controls quit working when it gets cold out, diverter doors may or may not work... There could be full heat coming out of the dash vents in the summer when the A/C is on. THe rear iar still blows cold, so i can at least have a rear vent blowing down on me if the front air is not playing nice. Same goes for the heat in the winter.. "outside' temp air blowing in on the feet because to diverter isn't doing its job. Dealer says 'nothing wrong'. Rear vent windows may stick open, or may stick closed. Again, 'nothing wrong' from the dealer.

Worst vehicle I've owned

The 6.0 diesel engine started dying at 1200 miles. Turbo blew at that mileage. At 30000 miles the main seal blew. The heating/AC diverter doors work when they feel like it. Blows heat for ne apparent reason. overhead status display (direction, miles to empty, etc) died around 45-50k miles. Paint cancer (clear coat failure) started around year 10 of ownership) Environmental controls go dark for no reason, multi-disc CD player quit playing discs around year 7. If it wasn't paid off, I'd replace it with GMC or Chevy
