Great car but rusts

I LOVE my Expedition. Never had any major problems with it except for on thing. The rust is awful. Slowly over the years the rust hass gotten worse and worse. I have a 73 Ford Pickup and the body of my pick up truck is better than my Expedition. Its a shame Iwish I could keep ano 10 years.

Basic engineering & body issues

My 2000 Ford Expedition has an excellent drive train however there are issues with the basic engineering of certain parts that are extremely diffcicult (& expensive) to replace. For example the front A/C evaporator is a part that costs around $100 to purchase but requires such extensive labor to replace that the repair costs over $1,000. In addition the roof design did not consider drainage of rain water & rust has formed along the grooves. Rainwater also does not drain well out of the doors & rust has also appeared on the inside bottom edges of the doors. These are inexcusable oversights from a company as old & experienced as Ford. I will replace my Expedition with another brand SUV because of these reasons.

Surprisingly dependable 12 years later

Second owner and I’ve hardly had to get much repaired in twelve years, compared to my 2013 Chevy traverse that’s been in the shop quarterly for the last five years... all that being said I’m holding out in this old beater til I can afford a Tesla...

358,000 miles Carl keeps it rolling for me! Everything I ask Carl to do he gets it done and if he can not he lets me know when he will get it done If only they made all cars like a 2000 Ford Expedition

It's getting tired.

The Scot pulled our pop-up and family of four and dog for years without a hiccup. Very comfortable for travel. Now the family is gone. My wife and I traded the pop-up for a 24' travel trailer. It pulls it but strains a little. During our recent trip, we lost 4 ate or tranny fluid after reaching our destination after 2.5 hours of driving while pulling the trailer. We will upgrade to 3/4 ton.

LOVE this vehicle. Now 17 years young and going strong with minimal issues (just maintenance). No major issues at all. The MOST comfortable riding I've ever had. Handles great! All interior still fabulous along with all mechanical!

18 years old and going strong with little issues ever. I LOVE my SUV. The best 4 wheel drive ever. Have pulled many trailers with no effort. The most comfortable on a long trip ever. Best visual for safe driving. Love my sun roof.

Excellent vehicle a d very dependable. I have own this vehicle since it was brand new. It is almost twenty years old and is still going strong. I would like to buy a new one but this one still. serves its purpose.

Had 1999 now have 2000 both "Rock" plus I listen to Cassette Tapes still: "love this feature" Great sounding stock stereo. I have 258,000 on mine and still going strong. Love everything about it and it can hold "Eight Bales of Hay"!

2000 Ford expedition Regency series

I absolutely love my expedition. It runs great. It drives great no problems. Can you take it out of town at any time and know that I’m coming home fine parts are a little hard to get because of the series. It is absolutely love my expedition.
