2006 F-350 Crew cab 4wd Loaded Lariat

I've had numerous problems with this truck over the years ,10 yrs/only 75k mi. Ford salespeople convinced me that Ford had repaired all issues involving their notoriously horrible design with 6.0 heads and EGR cooler. Shame on me for believing salesman. Ford will try to sell you another equally inept EGR cooler when yours goes out which makes no sense at all except to keep mechanics busy as it to will only last 50K or so also. Ford knew there was a problem but continued to sell it for 5 years plus. My truck has been meticulously maintained over the years and I recently discovered grooving and scraping on the camshaft and inside the oil pump and housing. Next truck definitely won't be a Ford!

First owner

Had many problems with my 6.0 diesel and it’s a F-250 not a F-150 turbo went out in warranty , two thousand dollars plus repairs on the diesel at 60,000 miles, the shifting column broke which is a common problem ,etc. Domestic diesel has done a better job than ford at better prices!!!!!!!!!!

A good utility vehicle

I have a Honda Ridgeline of the same vintage, and there is simply no comparing the two: The Ridgeline is far more sophisticated and better thought-out than the F-150. However, I couldn't find another Ridgeline (or Pilot) to purchase as a second vehicle, hence the F-150. I think it will be good for what I need, and it has the old-fashioned manual differentials I was seeking in a non-Ridgeline.

Love My Truck

Bought this used with about 70K miles on it. It's dependable, a pleasure to drive, utilitarian, pretty and well worth the cost of upkeep. I wish it got better gas mileage (Triton V8) but the power and performance it offers are important to me driving year-around in Alaska's conditions.

2006 F-250 Ford Diesel, Lariat package

When it's running like a top it can't be beat. Had early problems when new and broke down 3 times in two trips while on the road. Fuel injector failures all three times. Started using Lucas Fuel Additive every time I refueled and haven't had a problem since. Overall I am pretty pleased.

Love my F-150

I had the F-150 from day 1 in 2005 and continue to enjoy driving it. I am proud of my truck, keep it clean, wish I had leather seats instead of cloth. it has done everything I have asked of it on and off the road. Its my baby, that I have over 183,000 miles with regular 3,000 mile synthetic oil changes.

Only Cat 1

Love it, I have had it since 2006 and have been the only driver, besides my wife of this truck. It has given me great durability, still looks good because its my baby. Normal minor repairs, that are really maintenance items. I should have gotten leather seats as the seat on the driver side is dirty due to me getting in & out.

F-150 2006

I am very satisfied with my 2006 F-150 and the service it has given me over the last 9 years. I have kept up with the service of the vehicle and have not driven it hard on Construction Sites. It handles like a comfort sedan. The only issue I have is that the cloth seat covers are not easy to keep clean. I did not get the leather seats as this was once a company vehicle and I did not have the option. I would suggest Leather seats if you are thinking about a purchase and you get in and out a lot.

2006 Ford F250 Super Duty Shortbed Quad Cab Diesel

Other then having fuel injector problems while towing when it was new, nothing major to complain about. Once 3 injectors were replaced under warranty, I started adding Lucas Fuel Additive with each fill-up. No problems since.

Love it but it is starting to get some miles on it (193,000) and small things are starting to go wrong. If this continues I will consider selling myself and not trading in due to the value of trade- ins being so low. Almiost $3,000.00 difference between trade-in vs selling out right.

It'll do.

Good truck overall but I seem to have bad luck with this truck. Every time something is wrong it seems to be a bigger deal than I expect. However it does a good job at pulling my 32' travel trailer. Hills are a little difficult but overall I am happy.

Good dependable vehicle.

Bought mine brand new. Has been a good dependable vehicle, just routine maintenance and a couple of minor issues that my local mechanic took care of. Poor fuel mileage would be my only complaint. Will definitely consider another Ford for my next truck.

I love my truck

2006 f150 King Ranch I believe just like any vehicle to keep its value it must be serviced frequently. Although I’ve heard many negative reviews about this year model, I know that those reviews come from people who do not take care of their truck. My leather seats are in excellent condition and everything else is immaculate!! I look forward to owning this truck for many more years.

2006 ford f150 king ranch

Bought it new and S&P has helped me keep it in top shape. 9 years later and I still hit 15 mpg on the highway. Not bad for a 5.6 liter V-8! Drives straight and best ride I have ever had.
