We LOVE our Transit Connect

It is very powerful for a 4 cylinder. We still get great gas mileage. It can hold 9 wedding cakes! We have been able to get enough equipment (and food) in it to cater for 100 people. If I bought another one, I would make sure to have the side windows in the doors- there is a horrible blind spot with the solid doors, but that is the worst thing I can come up with on this vehicle.I would definitely buy it again if they still made it!

Great view of the road

A basic work vehicle. Mine a 2010 with great space and drive-ability. New models can only be better

I love this car

It's bare bones, but it carries a lot of luggage, bikes, and kayaks. It's the perfect outdoor vacation vehicle for me and my family. You have to sacrifice luxury for utility because it's noisier than a car or minivan, but it's well worth it for me when I can bring home an entry door in my car instead of having it delivered. Yes, it's based on the fiesta and it looks and feels like a box on wheels, but the thing is comfortable for me in the back seat (I'm 6' 1''). It also looks like it would be top heavy but is really tight around corners. They've already changed this model to make it more like a minivan, finishing the interior and rounding the corners, but if they have one that holds as much as this one does, I'll buy another one in another few years.

Last of it's kind

I have a high top passenger van with seats that can easily be folded down. It's versatile because we use it to carry tables and tents and merchandise for shows. Once we unpack plenty of room for the grand kids. Cargo vans do not have this option. Nothing is comparable in today's market at the price I paid in 2010 That's why I invest in keeping it going. The only negative is the 4 cylinder 2L engine which is always a challenge to get up to 70 plus miles an hour on the Viera on ramp to I95.

Good Utility Vehicle

This thing is a box on wheels. It's loud, it has dozens of rattles, has a rusting problem with hinges and lower panels, but it's cargo capacity is fantastic. The folding rear seats let me haul a full sheet of plywood, a front entry door or a ton of 2x4's and 8' moldings. Plus it can seat 5 people in the standard seat configuration. It's not pretty, may not be that durable, but it's the most useful vacation vehicle I've ever had. I can pack it full for a 2 week, up North vacation, a bike rack on the trailer hitch, AND put kayaks on top. The best part is that I am also comfortable in the rear seats. I'm a big guy and that's a rare thing these days. I don't know what the newer Transit's are like sizewise, but I'd buy another one of these when this one wears out.
