The joy went FLAT

4 flat tires in one year is not worth the drive. I don't know what else to say and I do know you want 250 words so I'll fill in my words by telling you about what I did today. I presented at a workshop in Lake Forest with a colleague of mine. I think it went well!

Terrible dealership experience

Dealership took advantage of my age and memory loss . Now paying more than $200 a month than previous. Put $4,000 down at the dealerships request. I have leased or purchased five vehicles from this dealership, and feel I was taking advantage of this time

Over rated

Only had vehicle six month, drove it four times purchased brand new..... AC went out and car runs terrible sounds like a sports car!!! It’s really not what I thought it would be for the price I paid. Really not worth it. Please I recommend a Mercedes any day!!! This car is soooo over rated!’n

Problems

I contacted Genesis support re problems and requested factory rep. check out the problem, they referred me back to dealer who eventually took care of braking vibration but did nothing other than road test drive train problem . I am no longer satisfied with GENESIS and will move on after I take decided action.

I traded my bmw for the G80 ultimate sport I guess I was expecting good service for as much money as I paid for this . The car runs strong. The handling does not seem right . The service said it all checked out? So far everything is working ok. Only have 4300 miles on the car.

Awesome car, horrible service

The worst thing about genesis is that they still use Hyaundi service network. They sell themselves as a luxury brand and then your service is treated like you have a 10 year old Kia. Wish I could get out of my lease strictly because of the service issues.

G80 sporty

My great disappointment for this car is I spent so much money and effort buying 4 or more new tires from the dealer within the first year of owing this car. I was told by the service department that tires were no flat tires. This is a lie. The tires provided were not compatible with his heavy car. Once I changed to a heavy duty tires, tires have never flat again.

Disappointed

When I leased this vehicle new I was guaranteed concierge service and loaner cars when repairs or service was neede. Not getting it from the dealer. Unacceptable and disappointing. I had 2 2018 G80’s and was very happy. The dealership was sold and everything changed for the worse.

G80 2020

Good car. Handling and engine power are good. But really annoying wind noise can hear from the driver window. From 40 miles to up. The level of noise is almost same as like I drive with window is not fully closed. Mentioned multiple times to the dealer during the scheduled maintenance. Answer is can not duplicate. The answer from the dealer means G80 noise is not a problem, built like that…? Disappointing.

No longer what it used to be!!

This is our 2nd and final Genesis. We absolutely loved our first lease and lastly got the 2020 model. The experience with respect to craftmanship is no longer the same. Window trims have been changed twice and they continue to stain making the car look old and worn. Genesis has not provided a resolution to this matter. We have experienced many glitches with the tires and alert buttons for which we've had to go a number of time to have resolves. The perks that come with owning a Genesis are no longer. Don't expect much out of the valet service. Never loaner vehicles available so expect to wait 5 or 6 hours every time you take your vehicle in. If they officer transportation, can't be more than 10 miles away from the dealer. We were very disappointed this time around. Time to move on.

My Genesis

Like the car very much tho visibility while driving somewhat restricted. Love the heads up display. All controls placed very conveniently. Would like a more comfortable ride. Very attractive styling. Would like better fuel economy and less road noise in the cockpit.

I pretty much like the vehicle overall, however, the quality control is lacking. If I had noticed this when buying I probably would not have bought the car. Inside the headlamps there is a substance that looks like glue dripping down. The trim around the windows is staining. Below the trunk lid there are two dents which look like imperfections in the steel and were painted over.

like the car, except the driveshaft vibration

great car except the vibration.it is a great automobile. I really like the all the features it handles very well ,gas mileage is very good ,the interior is very well appointed, plenty of trunk space. I especially like the analog clock in the middle of the dash. what i really hate is the vibration in the driveshaft. this G80 with the V6 AWD shakes at different speeds. it was at the shop 3 times, and it still shakes

Vehicle has met expectations to date.

Outside of sunroof issue, which I hope will be resolved in Dec, the vehicle has met expectations. The purchase experience beat expectations. Ride quality is exceptional along with radio/speakers/etc. Transmission is smooth and the motor responds a little better than expected.

Curb appeal

Still a good rival to BMW, Audi and Mercedes Benz. Lack the power and agility, control on the tight corners. Not as responsive when you need it to move quickly. Interior materials are rich and well designed. Car is loaded with the most modern technologies and for the most part they work well. The Genesis warranty and concierge is top notch and they really seem to care about what you think and how you feel about their brand.

I like the car very much, it has many features that are extra cost in many other high end cars. the front facia is very aggressive looking. the sport wheels are awesome, looks like something you would get aftermarket, too bad they don't carry over for 2021, and what's with the $10,000 price jump

G80 a good car

very satisfied with the car in all aspects except the radio and my preset problems. this problem was addressed twice at the dealership and was not fixes either time. I need someone to solve this problem or you will lose a customer. Feel free to contact me by phone or e-mail as soon as possible to fix the problem and feel free to contact the dealership as well.

Excellent car save the vibration issues and rattles coming from the sunroof. I have repeatedly called in for service and never get to a live person. I've left multiple messages but haven't gotten a call back. My worry is that getting the car serviced will be this much of a hassle every time. Otherwise, this is a comfortable and stately car.

My G80 in Havana Red

I did the research, read reports, went to car shows, knew what I wanted. I was told fine, but not available in red. Found one locally, right off the truck. The test drive sealed the deal for me! A beautiful, stylish, racy red color, plenty of power, and luxury. The price, the warranty, too. No arm twisting needed. This car sold itself! Love it just like when brand new.
