Old reliable love this truck comfortable and a pleasure to drive

It’s been a great vehicle wish I could get another reliability and ease of using everything is simply good if you’re looking for a good truck this is one you should consider you will never regret owning and driving this vehicle

Great truck but cost a lot for repair

I have a 2001 GMC Sierra SLE extended cab short bed two wheel drive with the 5.3 l V8 285 horsepower I have on the truck 6 years and I have invested $10,000 in repair within the 6 years to fix the old girl up I didn't expect to be paying this much but there's still some work the truck still needs and I'm planning on doing it next summer or the summer after the money I put into it so far will last me at least a few years before I have to start dumping more money into it but trucks like this are no more they don't make dependable trucks like this anymore and you have to expect to put money into a truck that's 22 years old it's just common sense but once you fix these trucks they stay fixed.

Origional Owner GMC PU

This 2001 gmc truck is a basic light duty work truck used for personal travel. Very reliable and driven lightly, only has 81.000 origional miles. No major issues with truck, happy to have owned a reliable truck that is now 22 years old. Good one.

Thee absolute best vehicle I've ever owned. I plan on buying another

As to date I have not one bad word to say about this truck, other than typical matinance and the typical wear and tare on the drive train? I've never had any issues whats so ever. My truck still looks and drive solid. I plan on purchasing another one down the road.

2001 Sierra

My 2001 GMC Sierra has been thee best vehicle I've ever owned. Its still in amazing condition except for the rust on the rocket panels. Mechanically its in great condition. I've never had any issues with my truck other than the typical maintenance. I'd buy another in a heartbeat hands down any day any time

Very pleased with the truck thru the years. GMC had problems with the camshaft for the model year and had it replaced. Other than regular maintenance, everything is just fine. I would recommend this vehicle

200,000 miles & still rolling right down the road! fuel pump, alternator, power steering pump & water pump just done for the first time! Breaks, tires, oil changes where the only maintenance until now

Good overall truck!

This is the first truck I have owned and so far it has been a really good vehicle. I purchased my truck about 5-6 years ago from an individual and it has been my daily driver. Everything on the vehicle was in good working order when I bought it and still works good today. Mine is the Z71 Off Road model and it has the SLT trim package so it has most of the options available for that year. I really like the truck and other than it sometimes having a bit of a bouncy ride when on rough roads I really like it but considering that it is a pickup truck you would expect that from the stiffer suspension. On smoother roads it has a great ride and is a good handling vehicle as well. To date only the alternator has gone out. Plans are to keep the truck and put a little money into it to improve upon the good qualities it already has.

Love this truck

I have almost 285000 miles on my truck. It hasbeen an awesome with very minor repairs. I enjoy driving it and I get compliments often on how clean and overall good look of the vehicle----LOVE MY GMC

2001GMC SIERRA 4x4

Purchased our 2001 GMC new and love it. It has given us over 150,000 miles with preventive maintenance only. Going strong over 17years. The truck has been in the mud, through the woods and made many over the road trips. Comfortable ride and spacious for a family of four. GMC strong and never fails us!

Best trucks I have ever own

Long lasting truck, 1990 has 272000 miles on it, 2001 has 182000 miles on it. Both trucks have been worked hard, and still going strong.

My second home

I've had 279,392 miles on the transmission before it broke down. I change the oil regularly but that's about it. I use it extensively off-road and it shows. It is a comfortable and reliable truck.
