GMC Yukon SLT

This is my second new purchase of a GMC Yukon. First being in 2004. It fit requirements for both workhorse for farm life and grandkids and their friends. I kept up on regular service maintenance and together with a superb service dept and outstanding tech team that car, Cherry Blossom, clocked in at 318,297 miles of service!!! Just barely turned 1,000 miles in my new 2017 GMC Yukon, Country Girl. Looking forward to another long run with her. My GMC Yukon is Country Girl Strong ?

Poor cargo capacity

Performance features, improved gas mileage and creature comforts nice, but we needed the cargo capacity of our earlier model Yukon. This vehicle doesn't come close. Very disappointed. Seats could not be easily removed like before or if so, only by the dealer, if the dealer was willing. Back cargo area slopes so things carried slip to the back. Cameras in the back often have activated the lift gate to come down while I am at the rear loading and has hit me in the head... many times!!! Give me the cargo capacity back along with the 4-wheel drive and high clearance that we needed. We can't be the only customers feeling this way.

poor space utilization-cargo capacity

Comfortable, smooth vehicle to drive, but we need a high-clearance, 4WD plus the ability to carry "things" not people. We wish all seats behind the front two could be removed. Even though they fold down, there is tremendous loss of carrying capacity. When the last row of seats folds down the horizontal surface slants upward toward the front meaning any load can slip toward the read. When loading the vehicle from the rear, the camera sees my feet and begins to close the rear hatch. I have been hit on the head numerous times when trying to load from the rear. Time for a more sensible re-design especially relating to carrying capacity. Perhaps too many gadgets and instruments. Almost like an instrument panel in a plane!
