The locks

Two of my locks has broken and fixed for $200.00. the other two are on the way for fixing! I'm told by the locksmith that fixed them that Honda uses cheep crapy locks in all their cars for the past several years.....and they know they're bad! I've NEVER had this problem in any other car. I'm 67 and been driving since I was 14. I wish I could get my old Dodge Caravan back. It was the best car I've ever had. It had 268K miles on it and was still running when I got my Honda CRV. I can't imagine how much a dealer would charge to fix them, and it only has 130k miles on it. My advice.....stay away from Honda's unless you want to waste $ on it.

This Cr-V EX is a great performer.

As any Honda vehicle this gem has great performance with a 2.4 liter engine even if it is slightly heavier than an Accord with same engine. Because it is slightly older it outperforms newer more gas conscious models with same engine specs. Pick up is good, can handle hills effortlessly. This has diminished somewhat in the newer Honda models across the board. EX trim also outshines newer EX trims on current Hondas (Accords and Civics).

Honda's are durable.

I love my little 2004 Honda CR-V. Had they not changed the style of it including the rear door opening, I would have bought a newer model along the way, but they didn't, and this car has everything I need. Most of my driving is around town so I don't get great mileage, but it's not worth me getting another car for. I bought it brand new and it's only got 66,000+ miles and it still looks and runs good.

2004 Honda CRV EX

Our CRV has met all the needs we have including even using it somewhat like a truck at times for hauling things-great capacity for such a small mid-size Suv. It has always performed well in snow and ice, and since moving from the West to Winthrop and adding studded tires, it has performed very well here and when driving to, over, and away from the mountain passes to the West.

2004 Honda CRV

My little CRV has been a very dependable car. It is very maneuverable and has a tight turning radius. It seats 4 adults comfortably and has a nice amount of cargo capacity in the back for luggage or groceries. It has great visibility and is a nice height off the ground for getting in and out easily. We bought it 4 years old and it now has 170K on it at 13 years. If you do the maintenance these Hondas last and last. Only issue with this car is the AC. The compressor and condensor have been replaced twice in 13 years.

CRV Evaluation

M y CRV is a 2004 model with a number of items I have wished, which have been corrected in later models, were better or should have been included as standard equipment. Otherwise, the car has performed very well except the MPG is lower than advertised and expected. Oversized tires have made a world of difference in ride feel, cornering and mileage performance.

Honda 2004

My only problem is not the best gas mileage and with AWD make sure you buy 5 tires to have the correct tred. I love my Honda. I drives nice and you are higher up to see and get in and out of. I can put a recliner in the back and you can't do that with a Ford Blazer as I had to do this for a friend. I would buy another and my niece got a new one 2016.

A Great all around Vehicle

Have had this little car since purchasing from the dealer. We have owned numerous automobiles over the years but this one out shines the others! It just keeps running, requiring only basic maintenance. From extended trips all over New Mexico in ALL types of weather and road conditions, to urban commuting, reliability and mileage has always been consistent. Hopefully newer models have improved on sound systems, smoothness in ride and other minor glitches. On the flip side, we have had several offers to buy this gem.

Reliable with plenty of space

Starts up every time and very low maintenance. Is a bit underpowered but fine overall. Interior is comfortable but a bit noisy. Car is nimble on the road, has good visibility and can haul most all household items. Very pleased.

Very good and reliable car with, of course, regular oil changes and check ups!

I’ve had my Honda CRV 2004 since 2010 and it has been a reliable car as long as I kept up oil changes and check ups. Of course various things have had to be replaced, such as the starter motor, the radiator, etc. But that is normal for a 18 year old car with 220,000 miles!

Reliable, No Maintenance and good in all weather

I purchased my CRV new and it has all the options except leather seats. It is the perfect size for hauling people and stuff.

Great car!

The second generation Honda CR-V (2004) is a great car. Although it appears small from the outside there is a lot of room and 4 people are not cramped. It is also the best looking of the CR-V iterations. The engine has plenty of power and the automatic is perfectly matched. I am impressed by the engineering whenever I get in and drive; it's my wife's car and my car is a performance car (2010 WRX)

Just right!

The only thing wrong with my 2004 CR-V is the heating system. Besides that.....it is the best! I am 4'11" and this vehicle fits me perfectly. I can pack all my scrapbooking supplies in it and drive away in confidence and comfort.

CRV

I have a 2004 CRV and it runs like a champ. I purchased it at 15000 miles and now I have 235000. No rust, inside and out in good shape and also very good shape under the hood.
