Got a good one.

Eight years with only one major repair which was handled under warranty. I chose the 2.4 liter engine and very happy I did. 2017 was the first year for the 1.5 turbo in the CRV, and I feel it wasn’t for us. I understand Honda has made refinements since then.

Honda CRV

I love my Honda!! I purchased my first Honda in 1987 and drove it for 17 years, my Civic was 14, when I got the CRV. If I get another car, it will be a Honda!! The CRV is easy to handle, has plenty of space and gets good gas mileage. Low maintenance.

Best Car Ever!

The 2017 is my second Honda and it’s really special. Lots of room but not too big to park easily, great body styling and good on gas @ 34 mpg. Performance wise it rides well and handles beautifully.

my 4th honda, third CRV

I don't want to jinx myself, but in 15 years of exclusively owning Honda's (all pre-owned), I've never had a problem with any of the vehicles. I am good at regular maintenance, so maybe that's why. But my current vehicle is 8 years old and I have no intention of trading in (I'm sure Honda would like me too, offer me something I can't refuse :-D ).

Engine stopped on highway.

Disappointed. Air conditioning system failed 'seized compressor. Caused engine to stop on highway. Only 40,000 miles on car. Expensive$$$$ repair with tows and compressor and condenser replacements. Disjointed in Honda.

should have been warned about the high battery use.

should have been told to keep engine running while exploring new features. Wanted all the new safety features and they are included. Battery usage is high because of the new features. hope you have a battery charger or battery tender available or have a subscription to something like AAA.

2017 Honda CRV EX-L

Absolutely love his car. There is just over 71,000 miles now. Never had any issues. Excellent gas mileage. Around Town 30 to 31mpg and on the highway 35-37mpg. I drive up to 8 hours for one trip and it’s very comfortable and I love all the features. It has just enough bells and whistles for me. Heated seats, apple car play, lane assist, brake assist, and more. It’s pretty sharp and sporty for a mid-size SUV. I love the color too! Gun Metal Gray. My husband has had 2 CRVs and I have had just this one but when I’m ready, I will buy another one.

So lucky

I got one of the good ones and by living in SoCal, I don't have the engine oil issues some in cooler climes have experienced. When I had the 'other companies' SUV, it had over a dozen recalls, constantly back in the shop for this and that. my 2017 CR V has had one recall I had to return for - adding a different label about tire pressure! Oh, I have had repeated problems with the infotainment screen going DIM, seems to be a sensor problem and the DOT is looking into it. Otherwise, the turbo model still gets 28 MPG around town and it is so easy to drive.

Great mileage—sometimes 35 on highway

Car is zippy, responsive, handles road well, love the “blind spot” safety features. I was pleasantly surprised at the fuel efficiency. On long highway trips, the car often gets 35 mpg. Very comfortable interior. Love the heated seats. Back seats fold down to make good carrying capacity. Could possibly camp/sleep in the back, though I haven’t tried.

Great car with crap software.

I have the mid line CRV. It has all the bells an whistles I could have hoped for. The ride is great The car has quite a lot of power with a 1.5 liter Turbo powered engine. The interior is very nice and hasn't fallen apart in 5 years. The problem is the software. I have seen all the system failure alarms and have tolerated the center screen randomly flash and beep. In all cases the problems can be cleared by pulling over and rebooting the car. Repeat visits to the dealer only caused them to shun me. I have the walk away lock setup. It works 50% of the time. However I'm happy with the settlement I got from 1800 LEMON LAW. The one problem with this car that is worthy of mention is the hesitation at take off. If I am pulling out into traffic I must hit the gas 1 full second before I need it. Then it goes fast.

Not fixable

I really like my CRV however it has something wrong with it that Honda doesn’t have a fix for so I have to replace all 4 fuel injectors due to an oil delusion problem and the mechanic won’t promise me that it will fix the issue. For this reason I will not buy another Honda.

Reliability

This is my 3rd Honda first was Civic then the Accord and now the CRV. I loved them all but I love the CRV the best. I like the reliability of these cars Never put money into them just normal maintenance.

Crazy Logic

The car is consistent with the reliability and comfort that we have come to expect from Honda. 2017 was the first year that Honda placed control of the vehicle in the software. The software in this car is so challenged that I have to reboot the car on occasion to squelch what appears to be serious problems according to the dashboard. System failure warnings are common. Reboot gone. The other day my left rear window would not go up. Pull over, Reboot, gone. The power of a small 4 cylindar engine with a turbo is amazing BUT THE HESITATION IN THE ACCELERATOR CAN CAUSE AN ACCIDENT. Feels like the cars software is slow. Other than that, great.

Love this car.

This car was a great choice. I will drive it forever. Still learning some of the amazing tech components. Low road noise. Good visibility. Comfortable. Nice size. Easy to use touch system. Great sound. I like Hondas. Previously owned an Accord, a Pilot and a Ridgeline. This is my favorite.

I love my car. It is dependable and always ready for any challenge I give it.It drove up and down Pikes Peak easily.Four of us drove out west. We had plenty of room and the trip was smooth. Great gas mileage.
