Big Car Experience at Low Price

Why move any more metal down the road than needed when you can have style, performance and fuel economy. Cross country trip was comfortable and the car hugged the road even with passing big rigs. The sound system is awesome and navigation aid correct 99% of the time. With it's short length I get a great discount on my frequent ferry trips. People regularly stop and ask what it is and how I like it. Great advertisement for Honda. Along with good nearby dealer service this is the happiest I've been with a car purchase in quite a few years.....When it's time to trade in I'll do the CR Z again.

Unique Hybrid, too bad it is no longer in production

I really love my CR-Z. It's sexy looking, dependable, fun to drive and gets pretty good mileage. It's looks first struck me and I just did not find another car that appealed to me (at least not for under $30K). Test drove and with its 6 sp manual I found it responsive and just plain fun. I needed a high MPG vehicle for my commute and reduce overall costs while still having a positive driving experience. My previous car was the Subaru WRX rocket with a 5 sp manual. The CR-Z doesn't move as fast, but with its terrific manual stick shift, I did not card. Nice, not having to purchase premium fuel too. I have 156,000 miles on it, averaged 43 MPG over the last 5 years for all driving. My best mileage was around 61MPG with very special driving. Typical commutes are 40% hwy, 40% suburban, and 20% heavier traffic (city).

Car review

I have bought this vehicle in 2012 brand new it is a 6 speed standard. It is fun to drive. But you must be careful of the blind spots, it’s hard to see the other cars.The CRZ is good on gas but you still can not go on the HOV lane when you’re driving alone due to the fact you only get 37 miles to the gallon highway. I’ve had this car 12 years now and I have no regrets buying it.

My crazy little red sport hybrid!

Second owner, bought from lady who was buying a new BRZ. She had taken good care of it with 49k miles. That was two years ago. It now has 105k and is running strong. All it has needed is oil changes, Trans and radiator flushes, air filters and tires. No hybrid battery issues at all (dealer update flashes done just in case). For 55k miles I have averaged 37-38mpg and I drive in sport mode with the paddle shifters a lot. The 30k CVT Trans services are a pain but you will be sorry if you do not do them I have heard.

Fun to Drive

My Honda CR-Z is a nice, fun to drive vehicle. I usually keep it on Econ setting, and switch to Normal or Sport mode while making passes or on highway ramps. The interior space is small, however, and won't haul my toys, which are a bike and a kayak. I haven't driven it much in the winter so I can't comment how it handles, and I switch to my Jeep for those days. I bought this car to save gas if I have to drive an hour or so away.
