I love driving this vehicle. Built to last.

I don't know why Honda ever stopped making them. I see one every time I am driving. People will pay top dollar to get even a used one. If you are smart you will start making them again. I will be first in line.

Fabulous

Bought it the year it came out. Has moved my furniture through 7 moves, as well as equipment and animals for wildlife rehab. A real workhorse with186000miles. Just wish Honda hadn't stopped making them .

Love my car!

I bought my car from the Ron Tonkin certified lot in 2005, we have been together ever since....206,000 miles and going strong. Works for everything...transport, hauling, camping..you name it. While it is not a "cushy" ride..it is an excellent vehicle.

If the pharaoh had an automobile instead of a chariot, it would be an Element.

All things fear time, but time fears the Pyramids. The Pyramids, however, fear the Elements. Mine has 220K on it, and it still runs tight and strong. It's a fwd, 5 speed manual---it easily takes the hills in 5th. Every morning it starts on the second turnover, and every night it stops without chug-a-lug, at the setting of the sun over the western mountains. Take care of it, it will take care of you, ba, ka, Tut and ra. Ra-tut-tut-tut! putt-putt-putt!

Best Car I've Ever Owned

The day my Cadillac Fleetwood died in the middle of the road (for the final time) the first Car that drove by me was a Honda Element. That was the end of March 2003, by April 14th I had one of my own. In just about a week I test drove 2 Cars and tried to fit into another 7 (i'm 6'6" & pretty hefty) The Honda Element is the first Car i've ever had where my head is not rubbing on the ceiling!! It's has a ton of space and it looks good. I Wish Honda would put it back into production so I can buy a new one. My only issue with it was the Stereo! It has 7 Speakers and a decent CD Receiver but no real power, the sound clipping was driving me crazy and I pulled it out and installed my own. Sorry Honda. But PLEASE bring this model back. I want another one.

Best, most versitile, lovable car I've ever owned.

In my long lifetime, I have owned many cars, 17 to be exact. Although some were junkers (in my crazy youth), a couple were reliable family cars - a couple pf Toyota Corollas and a Saturn. But no automobile has been as kind to me as my 2003 Honda Element. I really think Honda made this car too good. Yes, it is an ugly box. It has taken us to the opera in our finery and I have yanked out the seats and hauled straw and sheep. At first, the ads showed all the doors thrown open and an owner hosing it out. Yes, you could have done that, but you would have fried a lot of electronics in there. But, not to worry, the interior is easily cleaned. It has hauled kayaks, 2 x 6's on the roof rack, my trailer with loads up to 500 lbs., and more stuff than I can remember. In 275,000 miles the most serious problem has been the front axles (a genetic problem, I understand). At $500 for the first repair, the next three replacements were done under warranty. The clutch failed at 260K on I-95 and the Blue Route. Hiked to a tranny place and they had me back on the road in 2 days. I replace tires every 40,000 miles at about $550 for a set of four. I've driven in rain, snow, slush, mud and DC city traffic and never had a minute of worry. It's a standard shift - I think you have to order this special, I know I did. It makes all the difference in engine wear. I change the oil and filter about every 4,000 miles because that's what my father taught me. It's about a 1/2 hour job. I am my Element. I think it even looks like me. It's a comfy safe car, a hauler of appliances to the landfill, it tows my trailer, it hauls my critters, it gets no attention from likely thieves - I never lock it. Lovely ladies are never impressed. Which is good because I already have one. I hope to be buried in my Element.

Best buy I've ever made.

I ordered my Element when they were 1st introduced. It's convenient, economical, low maintenance, & great in rain & snow.

2003 Honda Element

We bought our Element in 2006 with 30K miles on it. It now has 125K miles and continues to be the perfect car for our lifestyle. Even though we now have a Sprinter camper van, we expect to keep our Element for another 10 years, especially since they don't make them anymore. Out of all the cars I've owned in my life, some of them purchased new, the Element is my clear favorite.

The best all-around vehicle ever!

The Honda Element has been my favorite car. It's low on gas cost with the strength and longevity of a Japanese made vehicle. I have traveled far and wide, through snow and rain, desert and mountains and the Element never failed me. I can sit on the back and eat lunch and enjoy the views or remove the seats and move large items. My partner of 10 years and I travel across the country south and back across the north. It's size makes it easy to get into tight spots and its unassumingly large interior headroom and space will surprise most. I don't see myself giving up the Element and I'm sorry they stopped making them.

Why did they stop making them?

It's a brilliant practical working machine and all of my equipment stays locked up. It also drives so well. I think everyone would buy it if it had more options and more length. Roddy Ledlie

Most reliable & multipurpose car I've ever had.

Bought my car in 2003. Ordered it & had to wait 6 months for its arrival. Was one of the 1st in Tulsa to have an Element. Going to keep it forever.
