2005 Honda Odyssey

Has not held up as well as expected. Several problems and Technical Bulletins (two of which I missed out on). Also, one known problem with a wire covering made from soy that was apparently attractive to rodents (rats/mice) that Honda did *not* cover, and, due to the location of the wire, the repair was $400-$600. Doesn't seem to be of the same quality as my first Honda's were. The only positive is that it has definitely always started and gotten is to where we needed to go.

Not so reliable

You would think with as good as the civic and accord is or was for honda they missed the mark with this van the reliability of the transmission in at least two generations of this van is a bummer how and why would u make it to pull the transmission to replace the filter I will never recommend the odyssey to purchase the door lroble.s are also another issue coming from a manufacturer known for high quality is no excuse for this type of reliability

Man Van

I take a lot of abuse for driving a Soccer Mom Van, however, it is big, comfortable and gets decent fuel economy. I have had transmission problems, the engine mounts needed replacing and a leaking oils pump repair. Still, the car drives straight and is not as fatiguing as the Chevy Suburban that it replaced so I make it my Man Van.

Long life

Bought it used with 85,000 miles. Now have 232,000 miles. Everything still tight. Only complaint is I use a quart of oil every 2000 miles.

2005 Honda odyssey

Everything about it, except for the peeling paint, is great. The paint just started falling off and Honda won't take responsibility for what they manufactured. It is causing me to choose Nissan or Toyota for my next vehicle because I am afraid of the same thing happening again.

Mostly happy

Great engine. 12 years old and still going strong. Just unhappy with body-tainted paint caused it to peel and Honda won't cover after certain period even though they admit to bad paint. Rusting also-according to body shop, Honda didn't seal properly.

Safe and Reliability

Have driven this van all over the country with show dogs and people It is comfortable and great to drive. We have not had any serious problems with it in anyway for 10 years now Love this van.

'05 Honda Odyssey Touring

A great family vehicle, with comfortable seating for seven. Has XM Radio, DVD screen and GPS. Rear back up camera, with front and rear warning system. CD player holds six CD's. Great sound system. Traction control is great on slippery pavement. Powerful AC and heater. Minimal repairs in ten years and 75000 miles. Good highway mileage.

140,000 Miles and Going Strong

What more can I say? It's never let us down. The freeway gas mileage is still about 25 mpg, which, for a big bus, is pretty good. We have a bunch of stuff to take to Montana in a month and the Odyssey is what we're using.

2005 Honda Odyssey

One of the best vehicles I even ownd. Reliable and fuel efficient vehicle. I can travel at 70 mph on the turnpike and the van is still running on 3 cylinders.

'05 Odyssey

Very reliable vehicle. Some brake problems around 60k miles - problems resolved by switching to premium ceramic pads.

A vehicle to meet diverse needs.

My Odyssey is now eleven years old. We use it for most daily errands, but have also taken it on long trips to Florida from Chicago, where it was able to carry four adults and loads of vacation cargo. It has been very dependable, lots of power and riding comfort. I really like it much better than later models, so I just keep holding on to it at 70,000 miles.
