2001 Honda S2000

This Honda sports car was unique in so many ways (leading edge high performance small motor, great 6 speed transmission, nicely balanced handling, great driving position). I waited until the 2nd year of production of the AP1 to let Honda work out some bugs if there were any.

2001 Honda S2000 sports car

The Honda S2000 was a 10 year manufacturer run of a really engaging and fun to drive sports car. A 2850 lb 237 HP dual cam 2000 CC motor that revs to 9000 rpm’s. Its handling is well above normal and can be driven mildly or aggressively by keeping the revs between 6000 and 9000 rpm’s. It really screams when in 1st through 3rd gear above 6000 rpm’s. Great 6 speed gear box with short positive smooth action. The driving position is very engaging and fun with leather seats and very good ergonomics that is extremely fun to drive every day. I’ll probably never sell it because the driving experience makes me smile every time.

The Honda S2000 is a very special convertible

This is an incredibly fun car to drive. The engine, transmission and suspension all reflect Honda's racing car experience. It holds the road like a train on rails, the electric steering is the best I have have experienced. With its 246 hp it gets 0 to 60 mph in 5 seconds! It is an extremely high quality car, in a class of its own. It is a shame Honda stopped making them, but driving one should put a smile on ones face, unless they are dead to the world. This is still low mileage, only about 18,000 miles! I drive it only on special occasions, especially when I want to be uplifted! I don't want to sound like a snow, but only drivers who really appreciate fine machinery should drive this car.

Driver’s Car

One must drive an S2000 to truly understand what I’m about to write. This is a one of kind roadster, built to be matched with a “driver”. When the match is made, the result is a one of a kind driving experience. The S is made to be pushed, driven spiritedly where there’s more road than cars. To say this car is fun to drive is just horribly not enough. It is almost a religious experience to drive this car enthusiastically. I am humbled to own an S. I’ll never part with this car. One must drive it to appreciate it. Never ever pass on the chance to drive an S.
