the vh has sharp lines and excellent looks . only do local short trips and it rides fine. ac needs extra time to cool off and breaks are hard but over all a simple entry vh

CRAPPY TIRES

I'm happy with the car but unhappy with the tires. I've had two blowouts within 30,000 miles. There is no spare tire and each incident was a major inconvenience to get fixed. I needed to have the car towed to the dealer the second time. The first time this happened I drove on the flat to a tire store. I would like to see traditional balloon type tires with more rubber and also a spare to at least get me a few miles to a destination. I would not purchase this model again unless I can get it with descent tires.

Hyundai Accent

I liked the idea of getting a hatchback for my latest car but forgot how that style affected visibility. It's much harder to see things both to my rear and to the sides than it was in my four door Elantra. There is also less space in the trunk than I had hoped.

air conditioning is just average at best and car uses a lot of gas when it is on. it also runs a little rough when it is on. otherwise, not a bad little car

Transmission issue

The car is great on gas and space, but I have had transmission issues that can't be found when I take it in. The car will jerk/buck when driving between 40-50mph and recently when I go the accelerate to merge onto the highway the car misfires.

Meh

Overall I don't care for this car. The one I have is actually a replacement which also made me upside down in my loan because of the original lemon. It would shut off in the middle of driving and almost crashed twice. I had to wait with the car for over 3 hrs. The guy at dealership didn't even offer me a ride. I rode with tow truck. Mind you i was only a 5 min drive away. I didn't want to at drive that car and the only option that was given to me was to get another.... It wasn't even like getting a new car, because the only one in manual was the exact same car. Wasn't even giving any deals and they didn't even transfer my free oil changes to it. I hate this car... But I needed a ride to go to work. Also since I've had this car the trunk has never locked... It doesn't work. But if you need a car that is ok with gas and runs it works.

it could be better. in my opinion but still a nice car.

love the car except that there is (no roof rack with crossbars.) also it would be nice if there was a 2 cd changer. love the steering wheel controls. its simple and easy. love the fog lights. the first aid kit is a waste of money. the storage box in between the seats could be 1 inch longer. hard to put in music cds. a built in cam to record both front and back of the car with easy chip take out would be great. owell. over all its a nice but could be better. also it would be great if it came in zombie green/black. lol

I previously owned the Elantra GT sport it had really comfortable leather seats the seats now are very uncomfortable and the fabric stains very easily even with just water on the seats it stains

The gas milage is not as great as the buyers guard stated Also the car is horrible in the snow.

Update

I just feel like for a 2014 car it could have more interior updates. For example, my boyfriend has a 2012 Malibu and it has touch screen, better safety and gas saving gadgets. Safety gadgets meaning my car has low tire pressure warning but his tells you exactly what side or tire it is. His brother’s 2010 Tahoe even tells him. By the way my boyfriend’s Malibu is a 4 cylinder as well as mine. It’s like why does my car seem like it’s a 2008 model. There’s nothing special about other than the Bluetooth, but who car doesn’t have Bluetooth these days.

Good little car

For the price, my 2014 Hyundai Accent has been a good little car. Most of my driving is on surface streets and the gas mileage is still pretty good. Back seat leg room is minimal. Trunk storage area is adequate for the size of the car. I have only 18,000 miles on this car but so far I have had no mechanical problems.

2014 Hyundai Accent Hatchback

Great car for road trips. Did some car camping......A little cramped especially with gear...... Great with long highway trips getting approximately 35mpg. The dis-advantages are very poor turning ratio. Suspension is somewhat weak especially on pot holes. Road noise is noticeable on grated grain roads that are not paved for highway driving. The automobile is too short. Needs higher wheel base. Other then that all is well. Hyundai seriously needs to improve the Accent Hatchback. Seriously....!!

This is not the vehicle for me, but at the time of purchase it was the only one for my pocket book. I am very pleased with the MPG on/with it though, I am aware that I went from a Ford Explorer down to this type/size.

Electrical issues

I received this car in 2017 with 82,000 miles. I love its size and it hugs the road well. It’s a nice little car. However, I lost AC within a few years. It was fixed for awhile but doesn’t work again and the Emissions light goes on and off. The emissions test is fine but it’s another electrical problem. Also I had the recalls done, especially the one where your car can be stolen. But Hyundai didn’t have the part to fix it!!! Instead they give you a club to lock your steering wheel. So now I’m stuck using that thing. It’s a no frills car that runs very well and also has electrical issues.
