This is my second Azera. I was extremely happy with my 2007 but this 2014 is a major disappointment. I don't like the cruise control with the automatic transmission because it is nowhere as smooth as the one in my 2007; it will drive you crazy shifting on even the hills of Iowa. The windshield defroster is terrible in combination with the cabin automatic temperatures; trying to get and keep the windshield clear is impossible while maintaining a normal temperature in the car's interior. There are more things bu I think you get the picture. My battery recently died. While this is normal, the indication on the dash is a car with key shown which was a very confusing symbol that made me think the problem was something to do with the locking function or automobile access. Fortunately I have enough driving experience to recognize the other indications of a dead battery.

Less than average

Some design deficiencies that the dealer's opinion is as "normal", such as idling going down to 500 RPM while stopped or raddling of engine when starting. I have owned 3 Azera's and one Genesis. I will not by another Azera.

I really like my 2014 Hyundai Azura. I like the spacious interior, style, and performance and handling. The rear view camera is also a great addition especially in parking lots.

time will tell the real story

Attractive car with beautiful color exterior and complimentary comfortable interior. Major issues with repairs when vehicle delivered new. Car had 238 miles on it and before 500 miles on car had major issues with brakes resulting in damaged rotors and turned and remachined. I had never heard of worn rotors with 238 miles on a car. A major sensor problem with the TPMS system resulting in 4 trips back to the dealership and 2 loaner cars to repair this system properly. Car was repaired twice and within 10 miles of driving away from the dealership the warning light reappeared. Major concern with the competency of the service departement. I now have 2700 miles on car and reserve judgement on car until more time casn pass and the reliability of the car gains my confidence for the long haul. I enjoy driving the vehicle and it is quiet and refined with much better than expected gas mileage both in the city and the highway.

2014 Hyundai Azera Review

Overall, I am very satisfied with my Azera. It provides a good combination of sportiness, good ride and quiet. Engine power is more than sufficient. It picks up speed quickly. I'm averaging 18-19 mpg in city, 23 combined and 30-32 hwy. I would describe the body style as sporty elegance, which I like. Many of my friends have commented on the solid feel of the car, especially when going over hard payment or closing the door. The only things I would mention for improvement is the position of the window bottoms which for me is a little uncomfortable to reach because of my long arms and a better cooling system for the seats. The blue tooth voice command feature could use some improvement in voice recognition. One thing I would call a negative is the cost of maintaining the navigation system. $300 a year, in my opinion is too expensive.

I like the vehicle, but I am disappointed in the ride and looks . When you spend over $35,000. 00 for a car you don't want it to look like the car that costs thousands less. I needed to buy this model because of the size of the trunk and I didn't expect to pay this amount for a bigger trunk. You feel every bump and hear the road noise to the point it is annoying. I am sorry I bought the car. If it wasn't for the rating on dependability I would of bought a Buick.
