Small yet spacious

I really wanted to downsize from a huge van to a small car but have the space I would need if I had to haul things around and that was comfortable for Backseat passengers. I have been able to pick up Furniture using the hatchback with the seats laid down a full size desk and a dresser at one time with no problem my kids are comfortable in the backseat and I've had passengers of let's say rather large size and it's worked for us. The only flaw I would say is comparing to my original Hyundai Elantra back in 2000 I don't feel like it quite picks up the speed as my old car did but I'm still very happy with it

Almost Perfect

Bought the car brand new, the price was great with all the features that it came with comparing to a Toyota or a Mazda of the same class. Good pick up. The only thing didn’t expect was how light the car was until I was drifting on the open highway, and was only going 75. Overall the car is great.

Decent car

This car has mostly everything you need starting from cruise control, panarominc sunroof to dual ventilated seats. Because it’s hatchback I won’t expect all wheel drive and other things but I feel it’s just worth . In my opinion, it’s the best secondary car for people who are living in urban areas as a good city only use car. Perfect handling, pretty good car to park and easy to drive.

Love my Elantra GT

I bought this new at an amazing price and it came with heated seats. Great little car with good gas mileage. Love the styling. Fits 4 adults pretty comfortably. Radio sounds good and has Sirius XM. Love the hatchback as it holds quite a bit.

So far so good

I like this little car. Very quick acceleration, gas mileage is ok, but dives quickly after purchase. Stock tires are garbage if you live anywhere that snows. Adjust the headlights up a little as well if you drive at night. Ours were aimed way too low. Ride is fairly comfortable but can be harsh. It doesn't handle bumps well especially in turns. Backseat space is good and with folded down seats you can store a lot but the fold down process is a little cumbersome. You have to remove the headrests but there isn't enough headroom to do it unless you tilt the seat forward a little, so you have to hold the seat up and try to take the headrest out. Overall I'm pretty happy with it though but I worry about long term durability.

Everything I thought it would be

I bought the Elantra GT for the interior options available. I love the features and would only make a few tweaks for ease of use. Only negative is the ride is not as sporty as my previous vehicle, and the factory tires wore out quickly, so I marked down those items.

Great little car-love the way it handles

This car has the Sport mode which makes the steering super tight and you corner at higher speeds like a Nascar pro! The only downside is that it is not available as AWD and it is noisy at highway speeds.

Fun car to drive

This is a really fun car to drive. Fuel efficient, quick responsive acceleration. Even sounds like your driving a race car! Handles turns nicely. The one drawback was I could not add fog lights to the car. The only other concern that it is light and slides under winter conditions

My 2016 Elantra GT

It has taken me close and far. From Tampa to Tennessee and beyond. I love my steering wheel controls and my blue tooth radio. The interior design is classy. Comfortable daily drive to work and back. This is a great work and play vehicle. Can't wait to get the next one!

Fun to drive,stylish has a lot of nice features I wish that the backup navigation system and the push to start were standard features. I would clearly trade the seat warmers for that. Love cargo area.

Good Value for the Price

This is a good commuter car. Peppy, while pretty good on fuel consumption. Vehicle calibration (engine to transmission) needs work but I suspect that the manual would eliminate the lag felt. Otherwise, it's all good.

Nice car. However for the next generation of the car (New GT), it should be longer and wider. Engine horse power should be increased to 200hp. Need more colors to choose Redesign the interior display. Be able to open the trunk from inside.

Nice car for the fuel conscious.

This is a nice car for what it is. Not fancy, fairly comfortable with good gas mileage. Doesn’t hold its value real well, but if you don’t plan on trading soon it’s fine. Mine is the hatchback and I think it’s pretty sharp looking.

Economical for first time buyer perhaps good for people who need one immediately and affordable but not recommended to be an owner of. Could update the sound system. Could modify back up camera . Could use more horse power especially for GT model

Justin very upbeat was able to answer all my questions with a smile. The service is always timely yet I don't feel like being pushed out the door . Even up to the point of paying the bill , Justin will ask if I have any questions.

Elantra GT

My 2016 Elantra gets great fuel mileage and it is very comfortable. It has been very reliable except for a flat tire I haven't had any surprises which is great for my budget. I love that I have a 100,000 mile protection I have just got to 50,000 and it is running like new. Even with the eco feature I still have great pick up to accelerate. I will be a Hyundai owner from now on.

Dependable, and speedy.

I've had the car two years now and have only 15,000 miles on it. I use it mostly around town since it is not as comfortable as my 2008 Sonata nor does it get as good gas mileage. On the highway at 75 mph it gets about 29 mpg. When I use it for just short trips to the bowling alley or near grocery store I get 16 mpg, Very disappointing gas mileage for such a small car.

Love it except for

After 2 years we still love our Elantra GT---the style, electronics (e.g., navigation and especially the backup camera), driver's seat adjustments, steering adjustments, comfort of seats, mp gallon, and sun roof and power for starting from standstill and uphills, and exterior and interior design. Our biggest dissatisfaction is the wind and road noise at highway speeds which requires turning up the radio to very high levels and talking above normal voice level. Hyundai also needs to fix the passenger seat belt retraction device so it doesn't malfunction by failing to retract the seatbelt.

The Elantra GT is a very comfortable car for me, I like its size ,handling, seats are comfortable and heat in the winter, it has good pick up speed and corners well.I like the extra open storage when I have the seats in back folded down, gas mileage is very good, city and country.

Minor problems take over.

When windshield wiper fluid is low in your car, its great to know, however, there should be a way to acknowledge the warning and have it go away. the way it takes over you have to continually have to dismiss it to be able to see the information you have your car set at. If you have not taken care of the warning, it should only come on as a result of turning on your car.
