2010 Hyundai Elantra

I was looking for a car that would be a good fit for me. A 4-door sedan,easy to get into, and comfortable seats. Of course the performance was important,too! Checked Consumer Reports,and found that this model was getting good reviews. Car also has a roomy trunk, and I have put it to good use. Even in windy conditions the car is pretty stable. And my car is quieter than other cars I have been in. One thing I do not like is that I have difficulty seeing the gauges on the dash. I can see them just fine at night, but not in daylight.

Simple, economic and long lasting

My Elantra has done me well for the last 8 years. I anticipate I can keep it going for a good many years still. I've maintained it as directed and have very few issues, other than regular maintenance. It isn't the prettiest car, but it is definitely economically suitable, and a durable car. I'm at 145K miles and counting....

Elantra

I brought it new and the vehicle has been very good to me. 8 years old now and only has just over 65,000 miles on it. My own complain about the vehicle is seems like it needs more power when the a/c is on.

Great driving performance. A little too small inside but large trunk space. Tires loose pressure. Would purchase tires from Firestone because the vehicle will ride so smooth and tires will not loose pressure. I would recommend this vehicle. Great mileage for gas especially in the summer.

retirement car

As a retirement car, it is excellent. We just drive about 3 hours of freeway travel in a month & most of our driving are short local shopping trips only. We also attend monthly Buddhist service and Buddhist functions in the Bay Area & the car fits 5 comfortably.

Good and reliable car

My car is 8 year old and I didn't have any mechanical issues so far. Nothing fancy but a good, solid, driving machine that gets me from point A to point B with no fuss. No plans to get another car soon.

Reliable vehicle

I have enjoyed this car since I bought it with just 9,000 miles on it. It has been very reliable. I have a couple of glitches, as the lights don't go off automatically when I shut off the car, and my key fob doesn't open the driver's side door. Other than that, I'm pretty happy. I don't get the greatest mileage for such a small car, though: about 29 MPG.

Reliable car

When I say "reliable", it is what it sounds to me. I am not a mechanic and I do not know much about it, but this car, with over 70.000 Mileage on it, is running great so far. It is very roomy. It fits comfortably 3 average adults in the back seat. The trunk is spacious too. The 2010 Elantra does not have fancy features in it and it is not as agile as the newer versions but, if you are not crazy about the "extras", it is a very good and reliable commute car.

A little disappointed.

There are parts of this car that have broken and I feel they should not have and are very expensive to replace. I feel safe in the car and as I am a small person the size of the vehicle is perfect for me.

great on gas has all i need in a car- does not have a good eletcical system - window on drivers side has never worked right and the door locks are not working it will work form the key fob but not inside

The car has a decent amount of room inside car & trunk. I don't really have any complaints except adding a thermostat In the engine. They could put more electric ports, there is only 1 for whole car . No one in the back has 1.

love the car

great car. great gas mileage. would buy it again. just wish the seats were a bit more padded for those long road trips and for hauling things it would be nice to have the total trunk area open when the rear seats are down instead of just the little skis type space. but the trunk is a very good size for a small car. perfect car for normal commuting

Good car

no complaints, bought it in 2010 and only have 54,700 miles on the car. Good mileage, and does everything anyone could expect out of a compact car. At my age I won't have to buy another car, I am 80 years old.

Reliable When Properly Maintained

Purchased with 10,500 miles in 2012. Now (in 2020) it has 68,500 miles. It is a great commuter and road trip car. It isn't the fanciest, but it is comfortable and has enough pick up for a four banger. It is pretty decent at driving up steep hills on the I-15 from Las Vegas to Los Angeles. I don't have to worry about expensive repairs for things such as Push-Start and overly complicated computer software that many newer cars have. Have not had any major issues with this car, but I do regularly maintain it and do not drive like a maniac. I recommend synthetic oil and pour a can of Seafoam in the gas tank every once in a while to keep it extra zippy.

Reliable, not flashy or luxe, but inexpensive to operate.

Gets us from point A to point B in reasonable comfort but not much style. Large trunk that holds baggage, groceries, Costco runs with east. Easy on the pocketbook at the gas pump. A good choice for a 'round town car to run the errands.

Overall good car

Bought this car a few years ago at a good price. So far I haven’t had any problems with it. Still runs good and takes me where I need to go. Great gas mileage. Like the SiriusXM radio. Lacks engine power and a little small but for the price you get a good car that takes you where you need to go. I’d definitely recommend this car to anyone that’s looking for a good car and doesn’t car a lot about speed.

133K and still kicking! This car has sustained more than a few thousand-mile journeys as well as day-to-day living and work commutes. I've always bought Hyundai Elantra and have never been disappointed. For an affordable vehicle, you can't beat it safety-wise. It's a comfortable ride, with or without frills. General maintenance is affordable.

I love my car but 2 recalls is a not scary. Perfect size, and very convenient. I just hope I don’t have to hear of another recall because it’s scary getting these letters stating things that are present that we don’t usually see or feel
