Hyundai Elantra one of the BEST vehicles to drive.

I bought my 2011 Elantra by a fluke. I drove into Ettleson with no intention to buy a car. I had a 2002 Elantra with 58,000 miles on it that had not give me one iota of trouble. I just wanted to see the changes and new fancy equipment. The salesperson offered my wife and I a chance to drive one and feel the differences. My wife talked me into it. We drove it and loved all of the new updates. When we got back to the dealership, my wife urged me to buy a new one. I normally like simple low end cars but my wife loved the fully equipped one we drove and they had one in the color I wanted. Since then, I have only taken my 2011 to the dealership for all of its maintenance and when there I check secretly to new models. Who knows when I may say why not.

Took a chance with great outcome.

I am a retired auto mechanic. So, I know better than most that first year of a new model year is usually not the one to buy. Took a chance on our 2011 Elantra and it has been a great car these past 5 years. As the car has a great 10year 100k drivetrain warranty my wife wants to keep the car a couple more years for her commute. It is a strong probability that we will be buying another Hyundai when time comes for her new car.

It hasn't failed me through thick and thin! I recommend this car to anyone who wants a great looking, very reliable car. Gas mileage is decent, on the highway, its great. I'll say it.... I love this car!!!

Good Car for the Price

This is a pretty good car although it has some issues the Hyundai Manufacturers need to improve. They need to use better materials for the seating of the car as well as make them more comfortable. The brakes on this car not the best, which is another area to improve, and the suspension on this model car is not great. The ride is very bumpy and not as smooth.

Better than you would think.

I have owned a 2011 Elantra for 2 years now. So far I have 63k miles and it still runs like new. It handles better than I ever expected, with only a minor upgrade to the shocks to stop the "back end bounce". Reliability has been excellent. Other than regularly scheduled maintenance I haven't had to deal with any extra out of pocket costs. The ride is compliant with slightly more road noise than I would like but it's not bad. What surprises most people is that this compact has very good interior room for its size. I'm 6' ft tall and have no problems with space even with a full car. (although I might have to push my seat up a notch or two) The 60/40 rear seats have saved my hide on more than one occasion. The power is enough to do what you need to without feeling strained. (you will not have a problem with power if that's your concern) I take frequent road trips and I'm more than comfortable for hours on end. Overall I couldn't be happier with my purchase and I will definitely be looking at Hyundai again for my next purchase.

I love both my vehicles which are both hyundai.. They have been reliable and less expenses. I love my leather seats, cruise control and air conditioner.. very roomy with 2 kids..

Great car

I love my 2011 Hyundai Elantra. If I was to change anything it would be the cover over the GPS it doesn't give enough shade to see the screen when it's sunny out. And I would tent the back window a little bit because the sun was beating down on my car enough to make the seems of my upholstery split open on the back seat and the company wouldn't take care of it after 60,000 miles even though I called before that. They said they couldn't find a record of my call.

A good and dependable car. Good body design and interior is quite sturdy. It is a small and light car. It the roads are in poor condition, you feel every bump. I enjoy the drive and maneuverability.
