The car itself is decent. It "looks" much better then it works ... (vs lets say a toyota) workhorse like toyota, where it works much better then it looks".
The middle air-con vents are in a very wierd position, making it hard to use " phone attachments"
Car noise is "acceptable". Much much better then my previous Honda Fit which was totalled.
Handling is acceptable. I feel Honda's handling was significantly better
Suspension is BAD .. esp rear suspension. If you hit a bump. It's especially bad if you are turning, and you hit a bump/pothole), the back car feels like it's floating on the air. It's a very errie feeling,I talked to some friends who had the same issue, and their solution was to just put a bag of rice in the truck, to add weight so that the car doesn't "float" as bad.
Brakes are somewhere between decent or BAD. If you brake when your wheel hits a bump/pothole, it feels like metal on metal. On normal road it's preety decent.
Price is decent,
Comfort is good
Gas Mileage is good
The car I got had fog lights + alloy wheels + homelink so it was a bonus.
I drive like 45 miles (one way) to work, so I am looking for a decent commute car. This car looked like a decent car with a good price. If there wasn't the suspension and brake issues, I would rate it a comparable car like Honda (except price is a lot cheaper). If I am given a choice again, I would not buy this car, because personally I consider the the issues of suspension/braking ... a serious defect. You never know if you get into an emergency, and you need to brake/turn, and you hit some bumps (objects/potholes) in the road, your brakes feels like it's missing, and your rear wheels feels like they are off the road ... These issues are only significantly apparent if you turn ... when the rear wheel "floats", it's a very errie feeling. It's not as apparent/bad if you drive straight.
I had driven Mazda6/ Protege, Honda Fit/ CRV and none of these cars exhibited those issues when hitting slight bumps/potholes.
