Motor Fine, Visibility Pour

I like the motor of my 2013 Elantra. I dislike the frame's slant and the side view mirror's placement on the driver's side. There's only 1 inch between the top of the mirror and the frame's slant.

Elantra Tire Wear

I have had major issues with the tires on my 2013 Elantra. I’m on my 2nd set of tires and have already replaced 2 of them as the tread does not evenly wear which results in a lot of road noise. We put new struts on the front end when we purchased the 2nd set of tires but still have the same issue.

It's pretty good

It's a nice car for what it is but definitely not the car of the year as the previous year. Looks like a sports car but without the horsepower. Excellent gas mileage and nice interior. Roomy rear seating and spacious trunk.

It’s ok

I unfortunately have had quite a few issues with my car. Some when I take it in to the dealership they aren’t able to tell my why or fix and that’s very unsettling. Also I find my paint is chipping in a few areas which ages my car so much faster.

It's a "Meh" kind of ride

My 2013 Hyundai Elantra experience has been sub par to say the least. It's an okay car, it looks pretty sleek but the features are minimal. The drive of the car is nice, but you do feel EVERY bump in the road. I do a lot of highway driving and it gets you from point A to B with a pretty nice 'get up' to it. Compared to its competition out here, it leaves more to be desired . Unless you're buying the Elantra with every upgrade Hyundai offers it, I would not recommend this vehicle.

Elantra

overall not an exceptional vehicle for the price. A lot of repairs for a relatively new car. Maybe it's just where and tear but it's expensive and the warranty has expired and can't afford to keep the coverage for the entire care.

Good value for price

Car is stylish and roomy. Large trunk for storage. Decent gas mileage. Cons: car is noisy to drive, car cabin is not noise insulated enough. At 96k miles it creaks and is not a smooth ride. Car has had lots of little issues like a clicking noise when you stop and accelerate which is common across elantra's and started at 60k miles right after the warranty was up. Has had lots of electrical sensor issues like the airbag light always being on (recalled) and the tire pressure light comes on and off all the time.

to many issues not enough coverage

I would like to say that Hyundai says it has America's best warranty that's fine and dandy but when your steering sensor goes on the car with only 62,000 miles on it and you're the second owner of the car and only have 60,000 mile protection instead of a hundred thousand mile protection the part cost $1,000 and $500 for labor. I just would like to say I think Hyundai should carry over to the secondary owner the hundred thousand mile protection. There are just way too many problems with these cars. They were manufactured fine on the inside but the outside problems are unbearable, from bearings to alignments two steering column issues these things need to be addressed before the cause of Soul Plane and simple before somebody honestly gets killed.

Noisy

The road noise level is terrible and it rides like a truck. It does have a good feature that does not allow you to lock your keys inside. The rest view camera is a plus which you really need dive the front seat head rests are difficult to see around.

Both good and bad

The good-great gas economy, average 30 miles per gallon in city driving, roomy. The bad-very noisy, also the engine is getting louder and louder, I think it will eventually need to be replaced. The Internet is full of reviews stating that this is a constant complaint, and on going issue with the 2013 elantras, they need to improve the quality of their engines before I buy another Hyundai.

Elentra Review

I wish I had purchased a better car especially in the snow. The car is comfortable enough and it has the features I wanted but it seems the dealer (not Herb Chambers of Hyundai) was to busy pushing cars out of their lots to really listen t my questions regarding safety and equipment. The tires were bad, the brakes were bad which gave me an overall feeling of distrust for First Hyundai in North Attleboro.

Steering coupler

I took my Hyundai into the dealer for a steering coupler replacement. It was covered under warranty. I am pleased with the warranty. I incurred no cost for the repair. I also am not pleased with this problem since there was less than 28000 miles on the vehicle. I sure hope this problem is solved.

2013 Elantra

Needs a lot of maintenance for it value- tires easily wear down, or tear with small potholes, electronics varies- sometimes work, sometimes not for no reason, the car door does not easily open when the weather is cold/definitely not with snow/ice.

Like most vehicles, it good when it’s new. Now once you get over the 5 year mark and have to deal with the extended warranty, then you find out how they have to many rules they get them out of fixing the vehicle.

Great car

Other than the recalls and other minor issues, I love my car. Its been very reliable and cost efficient that we use it to travel to various places because of the savings we get on gasoline. Great Car!

Many ways a great car, but...

an unnecessary repair visit as the staff should have diagnosed this very common problem a year ago. I had suffered with engine misfiring and stalling issues and they were not able to remedy the problem until recently. I have had the vehicle brought back 3 times to have mechanics remedy the problem but to no avail. Not until now. New coils! And spark plugs. Car runs fine now. Idling is still a little high, but livable. I had done some research into possible Lemon Law litigation regarding reportedly thousands of 2013 Hyundai Elantra claims on the very same issues I have had, namely, fluctuating acceleration, rough idle and overall jittery engine misfiring and stalling concerns. In my opinion, a manufacturer's recall was in order for these problems. Instead, I paid nearly a grand to have it fixed. It was a manufacturing flaw. NTSA

Looks nice but not as advertised

Vehicle looks nice and has nice accessories but the gas mileage is WAY below that advertised - I average 21 to 23 mpg combined highway and city driving. If it was just city driving 19 to 21 omg. That is ridiculous for an economy car that advertised combined driving mpg in the low 30s. Not very stable in rounding corners and freeway interchange turns. Suspension is questionable, if hit a bump while in a sweeping turn it feels as if car loses traction with road and jumps to the left or right. Problems with interior features such as gas cover release and steering wheel audio adjustments. That being said you get a lot of GREAT features for relatively little added cost.

Buy new or don't buy it at all

I bought the 2013 Hyundai in May of 2018 with only 55k miles & we've had little issue after little issue. $300 here, $350 there is becoming a hassle. If you buy a Hyundai, buy it NEW or don't buy it at all. 55k miles isn't a lot but this car drives like it was previously used as a rental car.
