should have bought an American car

Haven't had the car a year yet and experiencing problems when braking after I left from a tire rotation. Bluetooth fades in and out or stops when listening to music.

Nice looking car, terrible windshield troubles

Bought the car brand new. Once it started getting colder outside I literally had to scrap the inside of my windshield with an ice scrapper because it froze. Turn the defroster on and you have to wipe down the windshield because it was so wet. It also fogs up stemming from the passenger side/bottom of the windshield up to the top. I've been impressed with this car otherwise but will not buy another Hyundai for this reason.

Excellent styling, Beautiful Car to look at. Better styling than the new bold look on the 2016's. Ride is very harsh on bumpy roads. Hwy mileage is great, local in town mileage suffers greatly. Better in town gas mileage and a much softer ride would have made this car tops in its class.

It's ok for a less expensive car

I bought this car for the better gas mileage and the 4 doors (previously had a 2 door) She was inexpensive and is pretty much the base model. Issues with the cruise control coming on when hitting a bump, wires burnt in the wire harness are the problems I have currently had. (34,000) Wish it had controls on the stearing wheel since I have ot lean forward to get to the radio. Other than that the car drives great, love the way she looks and is a comfortable drive for a very long trip. (4 trips to FL from PA) Also wish I would have bought a better model because trade in value is horrendous and can not lose that much money for a trade.

Our 5th Hyundai second Elantra

Overall the vehicle is ok. I'm not a fan of their navigation system and I think their quality has gone downhill the last few years. I'm also not a fan of the turn ratio it's hard to see how sharp of a turn you should make and it's hard not to miss hitting the curbs when turning right. not good for the wheels our the car.

One big design flaw.

The design of the key fob can easily cause the fob to be lost. I have so far lost it twice and had many other times when the key becomes separated from the fob. I have been lucky that both times it became lost I have had it returned. What good does it do if the key and fob become separated and the owner is left with a key that only unlocks the door but cannot be used to start the car.

I would not buy this model again the way it is

I was deciding between my Elantra and a couple of non-Hyundai brands, but went for this because of the warranty. However, knowing what I now know, I would not purchase another Elantra in the future. First, there are way too many on the road and yes, that does bother me quite a bit. Second, and more importantly, I am not thrilled with the lack of performance of the vehicle. It makes too many interior noises and I hear the road inside the cabin whereas all of my previous cars didn't do (and I have owned quite a few different vehicles over the years).
