Not Happy

I own a 2015 Ellantra I have replace my windshield wipers three times I had to buy a new battery I’ve needed tires maybe 30 days after I bought it one of my speakers are going out in my car poor air circulation Overall this is my second alarm trouble the first was a 2010 that was previously owned not a problem at all. One never buy another new car from capital Hyundai.

Lots of cheapness in its design.

Overall there was a lot of cheapness put into the car and 3 years later I'm still dealing with the issue noise from plastic under Shield that they have to take off every time they do an oil change that is now damaged from The clips not being properly put in each time I'm definitely not Anonymous if you're going to force me to put in an email address to send this.

Newer is not always better

I owned my 04’ Elantra for 11 years and finally traded in for its upgraded 15’ limited version. Both were brand new when I got them. After 2 years owning it I can’t get my head out of the fact that I do not trust this newer version as much as I did the older one. I’ve had multiple issues with the car, especially in the winter when the temperature drops down. Tire issues, steering sensor becoming detached, gas tank carbon, etc. This was not an issue with my previous Elantra. The engine issues have been covered by warranty but why so many just within a 2 year span? I also feel that the body of the car is not very durable as if Hyundai has gone cheaper with the material. I’ve cracked my front bumper in a few places due to running into parking curbs. This was also not an issue when I had my previous one. It scratched but never cracked once. At the time of purchase I thought I was getting a good value. I now feel that this car should have been $5,000 cheaper. I also wish now that I had gotten something else.

Bad ride

Front breaks are horrible and had to have the engine replaced do to bearing failure had to have the struts replaced twice already and only has 84 thousand miles so to say the least I am not really impressed

2015 Elantra

I like Elantra features however I am not happy with the rear suspension.The rear suspension is a one piece axle which it's not stable when going over bumps at highway speeds.very unstable hyundai should recall these cars and remodify suspension.

Love the heat warmers in the front in the back but I would love the option to turn off the seat and leave the back warmer on, which currently you can not do. Another recommendation, both front seats need to be electronically adjustable, up/down/move forward/backward/lay flat. Often times the passenger needs these adjustments more then the driver. What would be the ultimate is that the driver could control the passenger seat from their controls as well so the driver doesn't have to stop the car and adjust the passenger settings manually.

Have some issues

I like the car. It is stylish and comfortable for my needs. For the money, it is great. My main issue is the mildew smell that comes out of the car when I turn on the vent. It is a smell that you would expect from a 15 year old car, not a 2015. I am not happy at all with that issue and have brought it in twice to the dealership and they still have not been able to correct it. The first time they changed the filter in the car and put some nice smelling stuff that lasted for 3 days. I left a voicemail message with the GM letting him know the issue was not corrected and I got a call back from not from the GM but their service supervisor who scheduled another appointment for me to come in a second time. The second time they told me that what they did the first time was all they could do for me which means that I am left with having to smell that odor for the next 27 months, until the lease is over. Thank God I did not buy the car and I am only leasing it. I never got a follow up phone call from the dealership asking me if they corrected my issue which I find perplexing. I will wait to see if anything comes of this review. We shall see.

Overall well designed and stylish car but has a flaw with my trunk.

Overall an economical, stylish car with good features and interior space; however, due to issue of trunk popping open after locking and leaving vehicle, have to question it's reliability. Would give higher ratings of the overall car if it was not for this issue with my new car.

Good car but no power and steering is lacking

I purchased this vehicle for the price range and fuel economy. That being said, what i forfeited was power, quality, and steering. I will definitely think twice about purchasing another vehicle from Hyundai.

I purchased this vehicle because I needed a vehicle fast, as I was moving back to the United States from a job from overseas and needed reliable transportation. I worked with a bank at the time and I was able to compare the value of the vehicles I was looking at to the price offered. With the options combined and the price this is why I chose this vehicle.

Looks better than it is

if I were to rate this car, I would give it a 7 out of 10. actually that is not true. I still give it an average rating. The car is beautiful on the outside and I even have the cute fog lights. However, this car has no horsepower, well maybe not no horsepower but it does not have the get-up-and-go that I like. However, I am satisfied because I have to be.
