It will do till I can afford a Sonata. My preference, but not at this time. I did own a sonata before this car.

Seats uncomfortable -- too much outside distraction, noise and noise

Not all that

20 months and 18 days as stated by service manager, ac compressor failed, battery has failed, not all this stuff is covered under the GREAT warranty.Interior has multiple rattles.

Disappointed

As I previously mentioned I am very disappointed in having both rear shocks failed at 35000 miles, causing both rear tires to wear out. I personally believe the shocks were defective. Based on that I would probably not purchase another Hyundai Elantra or any other Hyundai.

Still deciding....

I went from driving a 2011 Malibu because I wanted a smaller, peppy car. Went with the Limited because I wanted the bells and whistles. I love the navigation system in the Elantra which the Malibu did not have but it is missing a few things that my Malibu had like the message center that let me know the tire pressure in each tire, which door was open and oil life. I also miss my remote start. The rear window defrost doesn't seem to work very well in the Elantra and the battery going dead after 2 months has made me a little weary.......

Average Car

I want Hyundai to be better than average. Though I love my car, it just takes some getting used to. The drive is not as smooth as I'd like it to be. I can feel just about almost all the bumps. Sometimes it's hard to see when changing lanes. Other than that, this car has been good so far. No major issues.

Mostly happy

The car has a lot going for it in the way of efficiency . I like the good gas mileage and up to date technoligy. However i have had my 2015 elantra in shop for repairs twice. Hyundai covered everything but im a bit worried about future repairs if needed.

It's not a bad vehicle.

It's a good looking car, that rides well and has excellent gas mileage. only caveat is the fit and trim. I've had a whistle in one of my doors since I bought it, and some odd rattles. It's also small.

Tantra review

Although I like the Elektra in general their are several things I don't like also First the spoiler kit on the car sits too low yo the ground and you have to be careful not to park too close to concrete ground baracades or it scrapes and damages the bottom. Second it should come standard with blinkers on the mirrors as a safety feature Third the fabric on the seats stains easily and is difficult to clean I have 3 grandkids and spills are normal Fourth the dashboard is a dust attractor and I clean and wipe mine down regularly. Lastly at he bulbs in the headlamps have to be replaced too often. On the positive side the Paint job and color is beautiful. Mine is red. And It comes with a back up camera

Ehh

Leased a 2015 Elantra. Great gas mileage and sporty looks are about the only positive things. The bad things... Doors would randomly lock ( never leave your keys in the car), the ride was not very smooth ($18,000 car, what did I expect? Lol) and the worst part... the car started to die when coming to a stop and slowing down to make a turn. Very unsafe!!! Took it in to the dealership several times to try to get it fixed but they struggled to figure out what was wrong with it since it wasn't throwing an engine code. They finally fixed it by replacing the timing chain and a few other parts. It was in the shop for almost a month while they waited for back ordered parts to arrive. Got it back right at the end of the lease and traded it in right away for a Mitsubishi.

Good gas mileage

I like my Elantra for the comfort and gas mileage. But there are a couple things i learned that disappoint. One is there is a really bad blind spot created where the windshield meets the side of the car. The other is the wiper fluid sprays too low and is completely ineffective. Fortunately a service person rigged it to work. It was not a part fix- it was a rig fix with a little piece of rubber jammed under the sprayer.

Vehicle Review

I appreciate the fact that the Elantra is a little bigger than previous style, I wished the suspension system was a little better to meet the conditions of city roads (NYC). Does it comes with a special suspension package to accommodate rough roads. On the other hand, I find it a pleasure to drive it on the highway.

My opinion Hyundai.

I love my car , but not too happy about my navigation system going out on me at only 80000 miles and being a 2015 . $3000.00 is alot for a replacement being so new. May be my last Hyundai. I guess I will see how things go from here on.

could be quieter, the ride is OK,but,!!!

When i had my Sonata it drove like a champ. the outside noise was not so loud. I at the time could not afford another Sonata, so I opt for an Elantra. If I could even think of another it would be a Sonata.

2015 Hyundai Elantra Sport

Factory Audio has low volume. Slight roll when turning. Sport model no rear heated seats. No auto temperature. Small 4 inch radio screen. No sub-woofer. Slight delay in acceleration on eco mode and worse when AC is running. Vibration on the doors when Bass (audio) is extended. 166 HP is OK when eco mode is turned off. Sporty looking when accessorized on the exterior. I don't recommend using any tar removing chemicals. Paint is thin. So far, reliability at 24,000 miles is excellent. No issues. Upgraded rims was a plus. Love the exterior now after adding the Hyundai Body kit and adding a 4 channel 50 watt x 4 audio amp and another small combo 8 inch sub-woofer and amp installed underneath the driver side seat.

Misfire

I have a 2015 Elantra SE, bought it brand new and now 2 coils has been replaced because it was misfiring. It’s been doing it on the first year I got it as far as I remember. Told the technician when I had it serviced but they said there’s nothing wrong with it until the engine light came on and hey saw the code.

Problem with 2015 Elantra

Only problem with the this car is shutting down when driving below 25 mph without any warning which is a dangerous problem while driving in traffic.. Trying to have the problem corrected. So far that hasn’t been done as of yet. And I have only had the car 3 mos the 5th of September 2018. Needless to say I’m a little disappointed.

"Broke college student car"

The dealership where I purchased my Elantra was fantastic and they have an excellent staff. The car itself is not one I would soon recommend. Unless, you don't: do long drives, or drive on the highway. It will get you from A to B and you are getting what you pay for. The parts for Hyundais can be pricey. There are worst cars and there better cars out there. Acceleration is my biggest problem with this car especially when on the highway and trying to get up to speed. I follow regular and recommended maintenance and upkeep of the vehicle. It was used when I bought it in 2017 low miles, and from research have seen similar issues with most of that years Elantras. Again the folks at country who sold me this car are very kind and friendly and helpful. If you have $18,000 to spend on the car its good car for the money.
