never buy hyundai

Engine blew out after only 4 years. I will never buy again. It’s very small and cramped. My compressor only lasted 4 years??! But really the mechanics at the Hyundai dealership broke it and told me I’m out of luck and they wouldn’t fix it. Overall the car has been a pain and my experience with the dealership has been terrible. Get a Toyota.

Have had 2 have 2 new transmissions before warinty was out

Not happy that I have had 2 transmissions in less than 90 thousand miles before the warranty was up not good now worried when i will need a third very worried that I will need a third transmission and I will no longer have warranty coverage and will cost me thousands I do not have as a single widowed mother of 2

My vehicle....

The vehicle is awesome on gas that I can't complain. It's not roomy at all, my three children fights all the time because of the little space that they have. It has no power, it doesn't pick speed when it is on the highway. I was trailing my folks and I couldn't keep up because the car keep losing pressure going up the hills. That sucks!!! And the car is tearing up on the inside the door handle panel is bubbling up already I only had the car a year and a half. I think in all 2016s and up Bluetooth should come in there. I mean if ima py 20000 for a small car you could at least give me Bluetooth, lol. I would recommend a single person with little to no children to get this car if they don't drive often and have a daily routine. But not someone like me who have 3 toddlers who like and need their space. So overall my experience is awful I'm satisfied with the gas mileage but everything else not satisfied.

Poor performance

Engine stalling with acceleration since brand new. Had it checked out and the dealership's answer was that's the way 2016 Elantra's perform. Very dangerous. I have learned how to maneuver, it when I feel that hesitation on the engine coming on.

Looks aren't everything

This car is nice looking and comfortable. The fuel economy is great even on the highway. However, I think Hyundai has a long way to go in the durability area. There's a reason the warranty lasts for 100K miles. Nothing on the vehicle will last that long. Stop being cheap, Hyundai! Build a better car!

Hyundai elantra 2016

Happy with style or car inside and outside. Happy with gas.mileage as well. Not happy with the retreaded tires that were sold with the car. Not happy with the uphill shifting at such high gear then not shifting down from such high rpms. Not happy about the car wanting to stall while at a stop or idle.

Some problems

Within 22 months I had to buy a new battery (was a few miles over so Hyundai would not pay for battery!) Then my a/c compressor went out (luckily they replaced it at no charge) Hyundai consumer affairs is NO help

The ride is awful, the suspension is atrocious. It always sways to the side when go over joints in the road. On a curve even worse. Replaced the rear axle, but it still does it.

It's a price point vehicle

The vehicle looks great and is comfortable and fuel efficient, but most of everything aside from the engine is cheap and noisy. Next time I'll just spend a bit more and get better quality.............

car is a rough ride, no spare tire and the passenger seat if very low with no adjustment for height, this is my 3rd hyundia car purchase and this is the 1st time am disappointed with my choice this time.

elantra limited 2016 is a nice vehicle that has leather seats. However, the value edition offers more quality w/o the leather and several thousand dollars less in price.

Great car! THE 45 SERIES TIRES MAKE THE CAR RIDE HORRIBLE! It rides much better w/ 195/65R/15 wheels and snows! it is overpriced when compared with the value edition. The value edition has better profile tires which enhances the rhe ride quality and makes it a much smoother and enjoyable drive/ride!

Hyundai Elantra needs more improvements

1) The Key is really poorly designed. The trunk or the door is often opened by accident because I put the key in my pocket. 2) Engine noise is loud 3) The window view is not wide enough 4) I don't know why, the insurance premium is much higher because it is a Hyundai car :-(

Great on gas mileage

Not a comfortable vehicle. Wouldn’t take on a road trip. High priced for an economy type car. Definitely need snow tires during winter or excellent all season tires- Michelin’s work best for this vehicle. Would hate to see how the Hyundai Accent handles and comfort feels like. SUV is the way to go as far as comfort and amenities. Only thing positive with this car is the great gas mileage even though I have to fill up more often cause of small gas tank. I think Hyundai needs to improve on this car when it comes to comfort. It’s bad enough they actual offer this car without audio controls on steering wheel and no Bluetooth capability. Those items should come standard on all the Elantra cars. Hyundai has the low end model Accent that even has these features added. Hopefully Hyundai has made corrections with newer models. Engine, reliability and styling is probably the only high points that is worth mentioning about this car.
