Elantra

This is my second brand new Elantra and after 30,000 miles they drive like absolute garbage. This one shakes like it is going to explode while driving yet dealership can find nothing wrong. I feel this is due to the car still being under warranty.

Terrible

Terrible quality I regret buying a Hyunda Elentra. I bought the car used with 48,000 miles paid 14,000. One year later I have paid $2,000 extra in repairs. There are no warning so I will say it here. It’s a terrible car.

Warranty

My Hyundia was great until I needed front brakes and rotors. The 50,000 mile bumper to bumper is just a false sense of security. I should not have needed brakes at 41,000 miles. Not happy at all. Very displeased

Vehicle review

Vehicle is fun and has great pickup. Low noise level. Great on gas. I just wish I wouldn’t get stuck in the road after it breaks down. Last breakdown has convinced me to buy a different brand when it’s time. The 100k Warrenty does help. It’s just one too many breakdowns for me to stomach. The dealership is fantastic when going in for service. I will admit that!

Very Unhappy With Vehicle

Crappy mileage. The material on the driver side arm has ripped. Never had that happen in any another car I owned. Terrible pick-up. I miss my Corolla. Very upset that I did not buy another Toyota Corolla.

Replaced coil paks 6 times in 3 years

The vehicle gives outstanding gas mileage, The vehicle has a loud road noise when driving over 45 mph. The coil packs have been replaced at least six time in the last 3 years, sometimes not even lasting 3 months on one occasion. Vehicle did not even include a spare tire, That is very unacceptable.

Worst purchase ever!

The exterior paint peels off in huge chunks all the way to the metal frame. Had fixed once.. 9 months later it was peeling off again. Terrible quality lemon for sure issues with spark plugs electrical keyless entry was unable to open my driver side door with remote or button and manual unlock set off alarm that wouldn’t shut off until I climbed over to start the car. So disappointed I spent the money on a new car that continues to fall apart way before it ever should have

Elantra transmission is Junk

The transmission on this car is awful. It won't shift into the next gear , winds out and you have to use the manual shifting to get automatic to shift -- when disengaging to coast or stop and the reengaging the accelerator, the transmission delays connection and jerks a lot. Accelerating quickly sounds like the engine is going to explode. I've had cars of all sizes, engine types and transmissions, and this is far and away the worst drivetrain I've ever had under me.

2017 Elantra Sport

Gas mileage is great but you pay a price in anemic horsepower and braking. Transmission is hesitant, jerky and slow. Road noise is bad. Ride is harsh. Do not recommend when higher quality vehicles like the Jetta are far better in all of these categories.

Hyundai Lacks Luster

I have owned 6 Hyundai Elantras the 2017 has gone backwards in impressing their customer base. Those of us that spend way too many hours in our vehicles want to feel like we have purchased a masterpiece that is safe, affordable, well designed, has great surround sound, great gas mileage, is secure, and dependable. The inside of the 2017 has all the appeal of an empty apartment.

Poor build quality, lackluster driving & non-existent power

When I purchased this vehicle, it drove pretty well in the test drive and rated high on dependability, so I went ahead with the purchase. Unfortunately, after several months of owning it inhave realized that it’s an awful car. The new engine and transmission are absolutely awful. It lags in acceleration because of the Atkinson cycle engine and the transmission feels like its constantly slipping, but they’ve assured me that’s just how it’s made. Interior look really nice, but my dash sounds like it falling apart every time you hit the slightest bump. I’ve come to the conclusion my windshield has a bad seal and when the car shifts, it makes a terrible noise like something is broken. I’m very disappointed and will NOT buy another Hyundai. The dealership was not able to allocate the noise/problem, but personally it’s not their fault. The car Ian barely a year old. It shouldn’t have these problems.

Decent car poor service

I purchased this for my daughter. I heard a lot of good things about Hyundai's, but I really don't care for the car. I should of stayed with Honda. I changed cars because of the value and warranty, but the service is so bad here that I will not buy another.

Limited failure

Bought limited edition and standard features fail to work. Dealership doesn't fix them repeatedly. Can't recommend Hyundai because sister has had problems as well. Bought this 2017 car in 2018 for discounts with 7 miles.

Not what I expected.

I was very satisfied after purchasing new Hyundai Elantra limited in 2017, car was great, well equipped (safety and entertainment wise). Car drives smoothly, has great gas mileage. Unfortunately though car I purchased managed to break twice within four months (engine ignition coils) and left me in difficult position. I didn’t expect a new car to show issues in less than 2 years. Not very reliable because of that. I’m sure if it wouldn’t start having issues I would still love it as much as I loved it at first though.
