Unsatisfied

I am not satisfied with the way it handles its like riding in a box. I have called and complained and was told to call the manufacture I’m very dissatisfied. I use to own a Hyundai sonata I loved that car and I feel like I was roped into this sale.

2017 Elantra Ltd. has multiple engine issues.

Beautiful car with all the bells & whistles of a luxury vehicle. Sadly after 2 years & a little over 30,000 miles, engine issues started. Just had the car at the dealership for engine light/engine shaking 6 days ago. The same issue is happening again today. Also had problem in summer of 2018. 3rd time, same issue. Covered by warranty, but a big hassle & inconvenience to deal with. Warranty ends in about 14,000 miles. I'm screwed. This is my 2nd Elantra, but will be my last :(

Hyundai elentra

I don’t feel safe at the car. Driving when it’s rainy is so difficult and hard because the windshield is not working good . Lights are not brilliant. Trunk is getting open by itself sometimes and when I contact the dealership about it the act so unprofessional im counting on the moment to return the car

Pretty, but awful

I love the overall look of the vehicle and how it drives. My vehicle is only two years old and it is already running bad. I have had to replace the steering column already and two of the cylinders broke. You pay all this money for a Hyundai, and they break too quickly.

Do not purchase. Car reviewers views are wrong

The manufacturer claims it is a 4 cylinder 2.0 engine, it has no guts to go up hills They claim solid construction, but panels will rattle after purchase Claims good radio, delivers cars old software

This car is a lemon don’t buy

I bought this brand new vehicle thinking I wouldn’t have car trouble anymore oh was I wrong and then they don’t even want to fix what’s wrong either you gotta jump through hoops in order to get your car fixed

Faulty transmission

Hyundai would never fix transmission hesitation they said they couldn't fix it and I would have to live with the way it shifted. The brain surgeons at Hyundai told me to give it more gas at a stop and you won't notice the hesitation

My 2017 Elantra

I have had nothing but trouble with my car. This car I believe is a lemon, but I will go through every step possible to see what I can do to fix it. If not then I will have to take the next step. I have had my car only 3 years and has 35,000, this car should not have an issue but it does. Sorry but Hyundai is not recommendable by me.

I regret buying this vehicle

I bought this vehicle 2 years ago and already change the oil pressure sensor ( shout off on the highway very dangerous ) and 2 coils one after another, very bad quality vehicle I should have just fix my old one.

Unreliable car

My car has had engine problems since I leased it, and there are less than 22000 miles on it. I had to take it to the dealership 3-4 time a year because of engine problems. I wouldn’t buy Elantra anymore.

It was good for the test drive.

After 3 months of use, car started to fall apart. Car navigation system was out dated even before purchase. Car rear does roll on turns, Eco mode is the only thing half way decent. All ready to many problems for being a new car under 3 years.

One purchase I regret.

This isn’t my favorite car. I honestly wish I could give it back some days. The back up camera hasn’t worked since I got it and still doesn’t work to this day. The doors have both been replaced cause they just stopped working one day and I couldn’t get it my car. a piece on my engine has already been replaced cause one day I was driving and my car just starting shaking and shut off on me. For 2017 I’m shocked that I’m experiencing all of this. I had a 2010 Nissan Sentra before this and that car gave me 0 problems. This was my first car I purchased alone so I was so excited about getting it but all of these car problems can be very sad at times. If I could describe this car in one word it would be a lemon.

Constant problems

Not sure what happened with what used to be reliable car company. We’ve had nothing but problems with our 2012 and 2017 Elantra’s. Engine problems with both and the newest one which we bought two years ago has had the check engine light come on multiple times

I would never reccomend

I bought my car brand new and was initially happy. However, after a year I had issue after issue and they could never be resolved by the Hyundai dealership. I am so disappointed in this vehicle and in customer services as a whole. I never recomend this vehicle or make to anyone.

horrible brake issues soon after warranty ran out

My brakes began failing at high speeds within a couple thousand miles of losing the 36k mile warranty and i had taken it to multiple Hyundai dealerships multiple times for the issue, it was not consistently happening at first and they never bothered to look into it farther than just saying they could not replicate the issue. Then when my family was driving across the country(just had an oil change and made sure everything was in good condition) the issue became VERY bad in the mountains of Colorado and we were basically stuck there for a week, returning it multiple times for the same issue and they kept saying they could not replicate the issue, the brake would get stuck, shake hard, and you could not press on it. we had to get flights back home and abandon the car at the dealership where they held it for over a month before shipping it back, this car is the biggest regret I've ever purchased. Hyundai neglected to understand the severity of the issue because we never crashed(thankfully). Apparently unless it kills somebody they don't care about it. I am extremely upset and disappointed.

Dissatisfaction with this vehicle

Long time customers who experienced major car problems that were not figured out for months. The loud noise and the worry of our safety caused us undue stress because we could not drive the car because we felt it wasn't safe to drive.

Poor handling from local Hyundai dealer and dismissive Hyundai corporate on faulty new vehicle purchase.

Hyundai corporate would not entertain any concerns, complaints or issues. Local Hyundai dealership was in denial of the faulty product they provided me (and presumably other customers) and did not resolve the issue satisfactorily. The obvious corrective action was to provide me with a new and equal, fault-free vehicle. The 2017 Elantra GT We Bought Was a Piece of Junk

The '17 Elantra GT we purchased turned out to be a piece of junk. Traded it after a year of dissatisfied driving and an attempted buy back for a 2018 Mazda 3 GT which is a fantastic car. The '17 Elantra was such a poor car that it looks like they re-designed after only 2 years in 2019.

Worst car experince i ever had for a New Car.

For a new car it had Poor performance . AC stop working after 2 months. Engine kept turning off while driving. The front light blew out in 4 months of having this car. Seat belt light kept beeping when there was no one in the passenger seat off and on. To much problems in such a short time.

Problem with the misfire

From the moment I got my car. The car is been idling rough and it’s been driving funny and all of a sudden the check engine light comes on and I get a misfire and I take it back to Hyundai three separate times and they replace three separate coils and it still driving funny and I feel like the problem has been resolved. I wouldn’t recommend this car to anybody it’s built poorly.
