Good for money, great warranty. Bought because of 6 speed vs cvt. Not terribly disappointed as fuel economy is great. Great commuter and uber car........................................................

Eats too much gas

The car drives great, smooth and no real issues, EXCEPT for an unsolved gas issue where I feel the vehicle eats too much gas. One time last week filled car to full and within 3 days Of not traveling far at all the pointer went from full to close to 1/2 a tank. I am not sure what is going on.

1st and last Hyundai

Pretty car but performance is questionable ... trouble with start up and with shift changes .. I took it to the dealership and they couldn’t get an error code so I was told that I’d have to just wait for it to break down.

Good gas mileage. Awful paint quality and a rough noisy ride.

Like the design of the body on this car, just wish the paint wasn’t flaking and chipping off. The outside noise is very apparent and it is not the smoothest riding car. If you hit the slightest bump, you are aware!!

2 years of ownership

To be honest I’ve had the Elentra for 2 years and it didn’t reach my expectations. After the first year of ownership I started hearing a noise from the rear of the vehicle. There’s a lot of noise coming from the vents when the A/C is running and very little things that come standard. I will be looking for a new car this holiday season for sure.

Goid,but it give me a lit problem.

Not to well .It was not what expected.It need more comparison with the costumers. Plus, the repair need to have coupons to help customers to be able to come back in the dealership to do It better or bad job .

Elantra sport is a nice and fun car, just get the manual

Great car, looks great and is fun to drive. The DCT automatic transmission needs work, it jerks and is confused when to shift in normal auto mode. The paddle shifter downshift skips gears sometimes. Other than that the 17/18 model year looks great and is fun to drive. I’d recommend the manual transmission.

High quality, but...

I'm very impressed with the overall quality of my 2018 Hyundai Elantra SEL. Even though it's a compact size economy car, it feels and looks quite upscale. The built qualoty, for and finish is too notch. No complaints. The car has very adequate power and a responsive transmission. The transmission is not the most refined. It can be a bit clunky at times and gear hunts excessively under certain conditions. Otherwise, it's a very smooth, auet, and refined car. Fuel economy is amazing. It gets 45+mpg on long interstate trips. High 30s in the city. They steering, handling and braking all feel quite satisfying. The Achilles heel with his car has been poor running performance from the engine. Very sporadically, it surges, stutters, and acts like it may stall. This has occurred from my first week of ownership and has continued for a full year now. I've brought in to Hyundai several times with no resolution.

Standard vehicle

Standard vehicle, not a lot of special amenities....no remote start. Hard to get into and out for more mature people. The alarm is not very sensitive - someone used knife to remove door handle and did not set off alarm. Excessive wind/vibration noise when back windows are down.

Good car , Bad transmission design!

Decent little car, gets me from point a to b , however the transmission just doesn't do the car any justice! If it has a traditional transmission with the turbo , I feel it would be much better if a seller!

Safety needs work!

The car is beautiful, I just wish the car wasn’t so low to the ground. I am 5’3 I need to a bit higher. The quality of the car was super concerning. I’m terrified to even be in an sedan Becauae of my last two elantras. This shouldn’t be a thing. I’m a fan of Hyundai but will not continue to purchase a Elantra. Wish the suvs had better gas mileage!

Hyundai Elantra

Car was bought as a commuter car and has served its purpose so far. The only downside is that the electrical part is not warrantied under the car’s lengthy warranty, which was one of the main reasons I chose Hyundai. The issues occurred within a year of purchase and at around 30k miles. Not satisfied with this aspect of the car.

Like my car but paint peeling to the metal...i dont want to write 200 words regarding this. I like my car but feel Hyundai dhould fix my paint that is peeling off. This is not just the clear coat...peeling to the metal...total disappointment.

The car design is very nice, controls are easy to manage, has great fuel economy, and is comfortable for a small person. On the other hand, the car is low to the ground, compact inside for tall people, has problems changing gears and idols upon acceleration. The front under carriage also scrapes the ground when driving into an embankment or downhill onto a flat surface.

Elantra

The vehicle is ok but not what I was looking for. Certain things go out on the vehicle and again putting the key in the ignition sometimes doesn’t catch it. The key fabs break and come apart every chance they get. So I’m constantly replacing them.

Get the sport

don't get me wrong Hyundai makes a great car with a great warranty this is my third brand new Hyundai but I really wish I would have done the sport because it's not very Pepe at all kind of sluggish in the sport does have turbo and has way more horsepower for only a little bit more the doors are hard to close on this car the trunk could be bigger but other than that definitely a nice car

Needs works on stalling issues

The only problem we are having with our vehicle we have had the same problem twice. Vehicle stalls when it comes to a stop after driving on the freeway etc. The danger of getting into an accident once it stalls at a light or getting off the freeway is very likely. It almost happened to me several times because it stalled once I came to an stop. Once this issue is fixed this car will rate amazing no doubt.

Fix seatbelt buckle so that it doesn't fall into the door frame when exiting vehicle.

overall pretty good, just minor things could be improved. Handling is good, pedals and gears and steering wheel are all very responsive. Driving the vehicle quickly feels like second nature. Only problem I had was with the sensors, and the seat-belt positioning and the upholstery. Everything else was reliable.

Most complaints could be considered nuisance. When front windows are down its impossible to hear talking ,music. The wiper arms dont seem to apply enough pressure to the winshield, and large areas dont get cleaned. Larger wiper arms ?

Noticeable flaws

Poor quality paint on vehicle, scratches very easily. High wind noise thru doors. Feel having a problem with we're running lights turning themselves on and draining battery. Dealer can diagnose the problem or fix it.
