Good for the Money

Overall this is a great car. I really wish they would have added a CD player to it as that is my main source of music- but that's just my preference. It's held up pretty well on my 1 hour daily commute. Stops quickly when I need it to. The blind spot indicator is a LIFE SAVER as well as the back up camera. Being on the lower end of the price spectrum, this car is great!

A sport model should be more reliable.

To my understanding when you buy a sport you should be able to drive it like a sports car. 1. Alignment is off every 2000 miles. 2. Boost is erratic and the solenoid is failing but the dealer says there is nothing wrong. 3. Phantom check engine lights. 4. Really bad quality tires.

Don't trade your CD player for a backup camera!! Sirius is worth nothing!!

I am glad to have a tire pressure read out, but I can't figure out why one tire is always lower than the rest and needs air about once a month. Regardless I am glad to have the information on my tires. There's a whole lot of road noise in this car, but the roads are all bad. I like the back up camera, but the next car will have a CD player.

Elantra

Car is great but after a year and under 7800. It was always a bumpy ride where I feel just about bump in the road. But now I am beginning to hear the car shake rattle and role. But as I lease the car for under $200 a month and only drive around town it is great.

Good, but has issues

The car is very sporty looking and when 20% window tint was added made it look even better against the white color of the car. Handles well for a $20k vehicle. Handled well in severe winter conditions...did ridesharing during winter storm. Fuel economy in eco mode is pretty good. Bad- red seatbelt light indicator comes on when no passenger or weight is in seat. Tires wear out at the 1yr mark. Transmission start to go as it wouldnt shift from park to drive on occassion. After one year of owning and a car accident caused by an uninsured driver, im selling the car once its out of the shop. Selling it for a loss. If u buy this car, itll depreciate $7500.00 the first year. So make sure u deduct 30% off the cost of the car prior to buying. Just fyi, this car was very well cared for.

Great car , but lose a lot if you want to trade up

I like my car very much , but I was having trouble with the small seat on my leg, So I thought I would trade it for a bigger vechical , well I found out these small cars ,when even loaded with options , are worthless for a trade. So I found a cushion that helps with my leg problems after trying 8 months with several car dealerships including the place I bought it and getting very disappointed with the trade value. So now I have the cushion and I get 45 miles to the gallon on highway so I guess I will keep it another few years and hope it to is worth something then, for a trade. Probably have to trade in Milwaukee ,because Sheboygan is not a good place to get a trade value on your car. I bought over 30 brand new cars in my lifetime and only bought one in Sheboygan that actually gave me a reasonable offer on my trade .

Not very satisfied with engine, transmission and brake noise experience. Quality of exterior low. Seat comfort not up to par and quality decreased from 2016 edition. Interior design is average compared to other competitors but satisfying. Vehicle excellent on gas mileage.

2019 Sonata

2019 Sonata purchased NEW 5020 miles demo vehicle. Water pump and belts needed replacing less than 45 days after purchase. I was on the side of the road for hours in 95 degree temps waiting for a tow due to engine overheating.

THIS IS A DECENT CAR FOR WHAT IT IS. I BOUGHT MINE BRAND-NEW AND HAD A COUPLE ISSUES WITHIN A FEW MONTHS, ALBEIT MINOR ISSUES. THE DEALERSHIP IS REALLY MORE OF A PROBLEM THAN THE CAR. MINE IS A MANUAL TRANSMISSION, WITH VERY LITTLE ACCELERATION CAPABILITIES. THE E-BRAKE ALSO GETS "STUCK" WHEN YOU PARK ON A HILL AND YOU HAVE TO PUSH THE GAS TO GET IT TO RELEASE. WOULDN'T BUY ANOTHER ONE, AT LEAST NOT A MANUAL

Just a car

It’s to low to get in and out of no CD NO ON SCREEN GPS when getting out you hit your head it’s good on miles and gas I like it but it have some pros and cons to it it Alston need a automatic starter

like the economy drive to save gas but the shuddering while turning is alarming. I hope it will stop. The rode noise otherwise is loud and the navigation leaves streets and is hard to turn off while driving

Great value for the price. Would not take a long trip in it. Styling is the best on the road. Does not drive well in the snow. Radio system is adequate. Seat comfort is OK. Would probably buy the newer model when it becomes available.

Not built for a tall person....

I traded in my 2013 Dodge Charger SXT for a 2018 Elantra Value Edition. I gave up my Charger, to help save money for a house. I still owed money on the car, which is why I go this car. It gave me the best bang for my buck, with good warranties. However, being 6"5 I have challenges and issues with the car. The car is very quiet and a smooth ride and I drive around 100 miles a day, to and from work. The car is not very aerodynamic, as I notice that I get tossed around by the cross winds on the road. Getting in and out of the car is difficult, and sometimes painful (again due to my size and joint issues). The climate control is efficient, but sometimes struggles to keep up with Nebraska weather (which I think is the same for everyone). The engine is very responsive and has a decent getup for an engine of it's size. The infotainment system is adequate, I use Android auto which was a must for me. I really wish there wasn't a sun roof, which is the source of my head room issue. I wish I had remote start on this car, without having to pay 400 dollars for Hyundai to do, or go 3rd party. Not sure what this car is built out of, I got hit on the highway and walked away with a crumpled fender. So kudos on building a tank of car. Final thoughts, it's average car. I probably wouldn't have purchased one, I fit in a larger vehicle...with no sun/moonroof.

Slow Polk

Sometimes the tap of the acceleration will have your RPM running extremely high. In order for it to pick up speed after stopping you have to either put the pedal to the medal or drive it in sport mode. This lite interior gets stained really fast. Oh and the speakers/systems is not loud at all.

Hyundai?

Like the car, but it has a most uncomfortable seat. For a few extra bucks they could add a little padding to make the seats softer. The lumbar support is non existent except if you pay for it. This is why I don’t take the car for long trips. Otherwise I like the car but because of the uncomfortable seats, I doubt that I will get another Hyundai. Comfortable seats should be standard in all models.1

I am very disappointed in this car. When you call it "Standard Edition" you are not joking. Guess I was spoiled with what I was driving before.Have had to have it fixed several times and blew a tire before I had the car 6 months.

I still miss having a CD player, and my next vehicle must have one!!

Although I use my back up camera, I am sorry I gave up my CD player to have one. I loved playing my favorite CD's. I never could find like music on Sirius, or on the car radio. Hyundai must figure out a way to offer CD players on affordable economical cars of the future. Forget all the sounds involved in warnings, too!! I did figure out how to stop those obnoxious sounds.

Dual Shift Transmission

Don't like the dual shift transmission. Causes car to vibrate on take off. The dual shift transmission does not contribute to a smooth drive. I bought an automatic car. The build of the car makes feel like I need to shift gears.

I DONT KNOW WHAT YOU ARE ASKING. I have a 2018 Elantra.

I hate MY HYUNDAI. for the first month I loved my car and after that there were issues and I just didn't have the time to go get fixed. I can not be without my car for a couple of days so I had to make appointment.
