Has issues from the moment of purchase

Issues from the moment of purchase and doesn't seem like the dealership is too concerned with the issue. I'm not sure if Hyundai will do anything to make this right or if I need to find another dealership to take this to.

Problems from the start.

The good: The car looks sporty and has had many compliments. The gas mileage is great. I get up to 42MPG on the interstate. Amazing safety features!! Three years of Complimentary oil changes. The bad: Seats are thin and hard. The back of my upper legs was incredibly sore after a 2.5-hour car ride. The car is slow to get up to speed, which can be harmful when traveling on the interstate. Apple Carplay works about 70% of the time. My 2023 Elantra doesn't have GPS (crazy, right), so I NEED my Apple Carplay to work 100% of the time. The dealership said it's an issue with Apple, but my husband has NEVER had a problem with Apple Carplay in his 6-year-old Kia Optima. The vehicle interior also has a cheap feel that I didn't notice until after purchase. My husband and I wish we had waited to buy a car. We purchased our 2023 Hyundai Elantra at the end of the pandemic when supply was low, and demand was high. The lack of new vehicles within 50 miles of our location, including other makes and models, gave my husband and me very little inventory to choose from. Conclusion: This car would be great for a person on a budget looking for a vehicle to get to point a from point b.

3 owners, same problem

Three of my friends bought the same car, we all had horn and lamp problem. Although the features of this car is great, safety is questionable with horn and lamp problems for a new car. Must be factory issue but regardless it's unsafe despite the technology built in the car to keep you safe.

Nice car for price. Cheap windshield

I bought the car for the long warranty and great gas mileage. Great job on the looks, comfort, and drive ability. Unfortunately no more than 2 weeks after I bought the car the windshield has its first star. I paid 50 bucks to have it filled. It got another one a couple weeks after that. Now the windshield has a major crack and needs to be replaced. I just feel the windshield should last me more than a few months when I drive the same highway I drove for years in my fusion and didn’t have an issue

Smooth drive, aggressive looks, but mediocre interior sounds and display

Smooth driving but the bluetooth link and display seems to be pretty slow and doesn't connect at times. I love the look of the car and aggressive the front looks. The space is roomy inside including the trunk. Only issue would be the brake has a screeching noise when I first drive it but its fine after.

Is The Elantra N Line Worth It?

I've had this vehicle for 3 months. I bought it brand new. So far, I've had problems with the powertrain (transmission shifting) and the Apple CarPlay lagging. The car will stall when I try to accelerate sometimes. After pressing on the accelerator for a few seconds, the car suddenly "jerks" or lurches forward. The Apple CarPlay screen freezes up every time I am using the car.

Fun but compromised car

The exhaust is fun but you grow tired of it pretty quickly. After that you are left with compromised quality, ride, features, and questionable design on the interior and exterior. The car feels like it is trying too hard to appeal to performance enthusiasts but really only achieves boy racer status.

Decent Commuter Car

The 2023 Elantra SEL offers good interior/exterior design, excellent fuel economy, and good reliability & build quality. It lacks driving excitement and is very 'one-dimensional.' It seems to excel as a simple, straightforward, 'A-to-B' commuter car.

Elantra 2023 sel

Car is nice but mine is broken. I drive it off with 11 miles and already it’s having a serious issue. Brakes squeaking and steering failing , that’s ridiculous and I’m scared. I need my car for work and it was very hard for me to get one. So I needed this to work out for me and hope they fix it for me.

Problems already

When you purchase a vehicle, you want the best especially if it has 12 miles brand new. I shouldn’t already be having an issue with a brand new car fresh off the lot. You start to believe the advertisement going around saying Hyundai is ripping people off.

Solid driving car with mid-bad features

The 2023 Hyundai Elantra drives nicely and gets great gas mileage. The auto-climate system is atrocious and if there is more than one passenger in the car, the front windshield and rearseat windows fog-up. Unless, the defroster is on. The paint is soft and scratches easily, giving the car a cheap feeling. The breaks make a loud squealing noise when breaking in reverse. The interior windshield frequently has layers of frost on it when it is cold outside. There are rattling noises in the cabin. This specific vehicle has 2,500miles and used for 3 months.

good experience so far. Did not get a new grad discount when purchasing even though I asked. Experiencing some road noise from the driver's side while driving on a highway. Unable to hear the music when it happens.

Dismal headlights

As the title suggests, dismal headlights. You could drive this car into the darkest cave known to man, in pitch-black darkness & you still won’t be able to see anything with those inefficient headlights.

Better customer service

Better customer service and durability of the car. After purchasing the car it was hard to get a response back regarding the bumper warranty. I called several times. I was hounded to complete a survey which I did several times but when I had a concern I couldn’t get a call back.

Great car but poor key/FOB design

Own a 07 Elantra, great car easy to repair. bought 23 Elantra. Nicer than my 07 unit. I hate the key FOB arrangement. only 2 FOB's are allowed with no digital key card allowed. Makes traveling out of town alone and out of cell phone range difficult because if keys or fob are lost or stolen there is no access to the vehicle. Must store a FOB on board wrapped in aluminum foil and a hard key outside to be able to get access. But due to only 2 key fob's allowed paired to vehicle only wife can have keys. No digital key card is allowed for my vehicle. Bluelink app cannot be downloaded to my android phone making it useless. when shopping in large stores I have to track down wife to get key to access the car. Honking horn locator sounds like a great (Idea) but that is how bad guys locate your vehicle when they steal your key FOB...What a huge PIA!!! I will not choose this style of entry electronics again.

metal paper thin

had a terrible buying experience with my 2023 hyundai elantra limited. damaged in their lot -- back and forth to body shops -- terrible customer service -- finally had to swap out my car -- 2.5 months later!!!

Worth the purchase

Worth the purchase if you’re looking for a cheap reliable car. It saves well on gas and has a built in navigation system that helps with traveling if you do that s lot. I would recommend if you’re not a big car person and don’t really care about the style of your vehicle. Trunk pass is impressive for such a small vehicle as well.

Terrible Paint Job and More Terrible Service

Our 2023 Elantra N is already peeling and isn’t even ready for a 1st service yet. Dealer threw up arms after servicing window problems. There was no loaner they gave me a shuttle home and then I had to Uber back. When I returned they told me they’d work with me on the paint job but I had to get 2 estimates from which they could choose. I’m just about to have necessary hip surgery and don’t have time to run to body shops. Dealer was not helpful nor interested in being helpful. Not customer service oriented at all. This problem wasn’t created by us, the car is under warranty and the dealer is not honoring the warranty and is instead making it the customer’s problem—TERRIBLE.
