THE DEALERSHIP WON'T GIVE ME THE SECOND KEY AFTER I BOUGHT THE CAR WITH CASH BRAND NEW AND THE KEY DIDN'T WORK ON THE TEST DRIVE. I ONLY RECEIVED ONE KEY AND NOW THEY REFUSE TO GIVE ME THE SECOND KEY THAT EVERYONE ELSE IN THE FREE WORLD GETS WITH A BRAND NEW CAR. HORRIBLE COMPANY AND DEALERSHIP. I'VE BEEN DEALING WITH THIS FOR OVER A YEAR AND WILL PROBABLY HAVE TO TAKE THE DEALERSHIP TO COURT JUST TO GET MY KEY THAT I PAID FOR.

Sons first car is a lemon

We bought my sons first car at Fitzgerald of Rockville. It failed to start after only 24 days. Hyundai said part is back ordered. So son didnt have car for graduation and senior beach week. Very sad..

Poor value for price.

Over paid for an economy daily driver. Bogus fees at dealership really has soured my car. Poor build quality. Poor front bumper fit. Dealer won’t fix. Known issue with this model. Low front bumper clearance.

Huge let down from previous models

Everything about this new model feels cheap and not well designed. And not having a satellite radio as a standard, when it was standard on my previous Elantra? Bad move. Also, the interior design is not very ergonomic. There's a contoured piece of plastic that half separates the driver side from the passenger side that makes no sense as to why it's there.

Terrible, I need help and get nothing, avoid vehicle/hyundai as a whole

I really hate this car. It is unsafe, easily stolen. No way to prevent this. I am carless after 2 weeks owning this new vehicle, and it is a pain that hyundai won’t provide a loner/rental/any assistance

DO NOT BUY FROM VISALIA HYUNDAI!!!

I bought a 2023 Elantra and was super excited about this purchase. The following day, I started to notice thing were not so good on the car. It would not auto-start, the windows wouldn’t go down, and the car would shake and idle high just when at idle. The car when driving and accelerating, will not properly shift. I would not buy this car if I were you without seriously looking at the car and having a full test drive. I only got to drive it like a block and really didn’t get a chance to look at everything. DO NOT BUY FROM VISALIA HYUNDAI!!!!

ITS NOT THE CAR FOR ME

THERE IS A RECALL ON THE VEHICLE AND THERE IS NO COMPLIMENTARY MAINTENANCE SERVICE. TOYOTA GIVES MAINTENANCE SERVICE FOR THE LIFETIME OF THE VEHICLE AND THE OWNER OWING IT. I THINK THAT ALL VEHICLES NOW SHOULD COME WITH LANE CHANGING SIGNAL WARNING LIGHTS AND BLUELINK. THEY SHOULD BE ELECTRIC INSTEAD OF GAS FUEL TO HELP THE QUALITY OF THE AIR. AND THE PRICES ARE STILL OUTRAGEOUS.

Hyundai design feature results in unsafe driving due to distraction..

The constant reflective image onto the windshield of the raised basketry area, near and around the automatic air conditioning sensor, on the dash results in distracted and obstructed visibility and unsafe driving.

Potential fire hazard.

While delighted with my car initially, with the news of the potential recall over potential fire hazard and the possibility of not being actually recalled for 2 months, I am not a happy camper. One of the reasons that I selected the Elantra was the safety rating, so when I found out I am waiting at least 2 months to find out if my car has a faulty device that may overheat and cause a fire makes that rating look rather shakey.

Cheap not safe

Be careful I warn all Lights will not come in automaticall even when in auto. Dont purchase these cars if it you rely on side blindspot warnings Then entire driver side navigation panel is just there doing nothing and you don’t get told that til your out of financing- total scam beware. I felt lured into the lot looking for a car that was getting the battery charged - quotations that car was never there at that dealership, I would have never ever gotten this car.

Very disappointed

Having radar issue after just a few days from the purchase. Cannot use cruise at all. Was told I need to wait for several months before they can check the car. They refused to refund because I haven't attempted to repair the issue while I cannot even make an appointment to check the car as they are all booked up until Nov.

It’s junk

Persistent rattle and vibration at idle. Dealership has been unable to properly diagnose after 4 attempts. IVT, sometimes it goes sometimes you’re just making noise. Owner’s manual states, oil consumption is normal. They know the engine has a problem/ poor build quality. We’re just not going to do anything.

Terrible experience owning this car!

The 2023 Hyundai Elantra is a very good looking vehicle. The looks on the exterior and interior are what convinced me to purchase this vehicle. However owning this vehicle was nothing but a nightmare. I drive a lot of miles. I had the vehicle for a little over 6 months and put a total of 19,500 miles on it. I was pristine on maintenance. I noticed that the engine was running rougher than normal and checked the oil dip stick, and there was NO OIL on the dip stick whatsoever! I filled it back up and contacted the dealership for service. The service manager told my service advisor to “start the process” I asked what was going on and was told that an oil consumption test was under process and then overheard the service employee talking with the service manager about how many engines were waiting to be replaced for the same issue I was having. That’s not everything either… when I hit around 9,000 miles the gas tank started making a loud thudding / ticking sound. I called Hyundai to schedule service. Once I brought the vehicle In the service tech went for a ride with me and I pointed out the obvious issue. He agreed that it was not normal whatsoever. They replaced a part in the gas tank, but that did not resolve the issue. I made another appointment and brought the vehicle back again. They had the vehicle for I think 2 days. I had paid for a rental car because I need a vehicle with the driving I do for work. They call me after the car was “ready” I was told by the service advisor that everything was completely normal and that the ticking inside of the fuel tank was normal. I was dumbfounded because they agreed it was a serious issue the first time I brought it in… Another issue I ran into was with the horn. The horn would randomly quit working. It was replaced 2 or 3 times. I would quickly need to use it in driving situations. It would randomly change tones and then would just die. My overall experience with Hyundai was a 0 out of 10. I spent a lot of money on an extended warranty, and ended up spending a lot of $ on rentals while my car was in service bc no loaners were allowed. I got sick always being at the service center with this car and traded it in for something else.

Buy from another company

Too easy to steal. Because of this, they have an ungodly wait time to get your vehicle back. There is a glue like substance on the hood we cannot get off The anti collision system is faulty and corrects, incorrectly into traffic

The vehicle ain’t the greatest. I do not like it. The dealership pressured me into purchasing. Rolled over a bunch of debit I wasn’t aware of. Dealership hid it from me even when I asked. Very unhappy. Will be saving to go to a Buick dealer.
