Transmission is seriously flawed.

The transmission starts to overheat and the clutch will slip in stop and go traffic. You can smell the clutch burning. I’m very concerned about this being a serious issue and regret buying the car. I would not buy this car again.

Lemon?

The car intermittently vibrates to the point of scaring both driver and passengers. After multiple visits, the entire engine had to be replaced. Then the new engine had to be repaired due to a problem with injectors. Lately it hasn't been doing this, but as I said, intermittent. Hyundai Corporate has indicated they will do a buy back, but I am waiting endlessly for their offer. Meanwhile, I am hardy using this car due to the uncertainty of its safety. On top of this, the features are not as promised. I was promised Sirrius xm and blue link. Neither are available on this car, it seems.

Poorly designed and manufactured for the price!!

It’s nice to look at but the features are lacking. The blue tooth rarely syncs or works I can’t get the map feature to work, the reverse camera stays on, the rear end of the vehicle makes a boiling like sound where the gas tank is which is scary the car gets stuck in acceleration and rpm’s rev up even when I’m stopped! The sound system is terrible the light lens hold water when I wash it or it rains and water gets in the back window and runs down into the trunk! For what I’m paying it’s just a terrible car! I’m very sad and upset!

Not really liking it

It has too many issues my volume button goes down as I am turning it up and now my door won't lock with my finger only my key fob also my sunroof goes up when it's closed it doesn't happen all the time but it happens

Over priced garbage

Run far away from this car. It has been in the repair shop 4 times with less than 4000 miles and it still runs like crap. I have to turn left to go straight.

1st 2 weeks had major issues with the car

After 2 weeks car was in service to fix issues they had car for 3 weeks & said it was fixed same issues started again car was taken back in after 3 weeks of issues still happening and service has now had the car again for almost 2 weeks very disappointed in the procedure and don’t understand why I wasn’t just given a different car these were safety issues as car was shifting into other gears and turning on cruise control on its own and if the inhibitor switch they said was faulty and replaced why would the same issues continue to happen due to this it is very difficult to give any favorable ratings

We are not happy with this car.

Be bought the base line model with some excitement about all the gadgets and gizmos. But over time they become more of a nuisance. The car will chime at us every few minutes to tell us to "take a break" even if we don't want to use the lane assistance feature. If it's not connected to the phone projection it asks you to confirm contact download every time you start it up. The lane assist will randomly pull to the side of the road randomly. Lastly the nicest thing I can say about this car is that it gets me from doubt a to b. But to be honest i wish I would have kept my 30,000 and just bought something used.

After buying 9 previous Hyundai Sonatas and Elantras, I was very disappointed in my last 2025 Elantra. All previous vehicles had XMSI, this one does not even though it was noted as having on the vehicle window. I was dupped. It is a substandard vehicle unlike the others I purchased previously.
