Poor gas mileage and more than average repairs

I had problems from day 1 of purchase. I spent many times back and forth to dealership with electrical issues in the early years. Although I have almost 200,000 miles on this vehicle it has not been without constant problems. I would have gotten rid of it long ago if I was in a financial position to do so.

Have had a fair number of issues w/our Entourage.

Not a GREAT vehicle, but not a bad one. I might buy another if the price were right.

Minor Problems

few minor problems with this vehicle. Only major one was the wiring harness going out. The van would take a while to crank. After the problem was solved the van runs great.

Bought used, lots of little issues

I purchased my 2007 Entourage used with 129k miles on the odometer. For the price and features and cleanliness of my particular van, nothing else in the price range came close. I've had the vehicle just about a month now, and while I still really like it, I've experienced a whole host of issues cropping up. Now, I completely understand that a vehicle with 129k miles won't be perfect, and I don't expect it to be, but it just seems that every time I drive it, something else stops working properly. First it was the battery (not the van's fault, it's a normal wear item), but then it was a gasket leaking on the alternator that caused the alternator to fail, replaced both of those things, then the second row seats were installed on the wrong sides (again, not the van's fault), but one of the seats easily came unlatched as the instructions stated, but the other seat took over an hour to remove because the latches wouldn't release. Then the seatbelt on the 2nd row driver side locked up and wouldnt retract or extend, rendering it completely inoperable. Three nights ago, the rear left turn signal went out. I verified it was out. The next day, I went to get a bulb for it, and mysteriously it started working again on the drive home from the auto parts store and has worked ever since. I went to remove the tail light to inspect the wiring and make sure everything was snugly tightened and couldn't get the tail light off the vehicle because the instructions in the manual said to just undo three screws and the tail light houseing would come right off. It would not. There is something else holding it in place and I can't figure out how to get the tail light off without breaking it. Last night the TPMS light came in for the first time and stayed on. Six hours of driving and shut off the van a few times and it's still on. The power outlets in the front of the van work only intermittently. When I first brought the van home, the rear park distance indicator worked perfectly, but since the battery was replaced, it beeps at random times at apparently nothing when in reverse, rendering them useless. Some issues are very minor, I know. But some are show stoppers (I use the van for Uber and all seat belts must work, for example). I'm just concerned about what might fail next.

Smooth ride

I really like my van, but have been disappointed in all the small fixes I've had to do to it. It gets costly.

ENTOURAGE 2007

I HAVE BEEN GOING TO THE DEALER CURRENTLY, MY PROPOSE WAS TO MAINTAIN THE CAR IN GOOD SHAPE;IT WAS NOT POSSIBLE BECAUSE EVERY TIME THERE WERE NEW ISSUES SINCE WE LEFT THE CONCESSIONARY, PROBABLY ONE IMPORTANT REASON HAVE BEEN THESE CARS TO GO OUT OF THE BUSINESS.

2007 entourage

Very few problems in 107000 miles .Dealer took care of some warranty recalls, but overall,an excellent van. With no-alcohol premium, can get 27mpg. very comfortable on long trips. Still runs like new, with plenty of power.

Big Blue

I didn't think that I would drive a minivan. I have only two children. However, children draw other children and it seems that my van is always filled to capacity when we are heading to the park, the store or some other outing. I have truly enjoyed my vehicle. It has a couple of quirks that I have had to work out. I misplaced my original key and that has caused me some problems with the alarm system immobilizing the engine on start up. But I have found a pretty simple solution to that problem. While the vehicle is a great deal for the money, I noticed that when it comes to maintenance and repairs the way the vehicle is made, for example an average tune-up is $225 for due to the platinum spark plugs required for the Hyundai Entourage and the fact that the top of the engine has to be removed to replace them, my tune-up cost increased to $550!!! Ouch! But other than little things like that, this has been a great family van for us.

2007 Hyundai, Entourage.

Vehicle has served me well. It has met my needs with limited trips back to the dealership. My only disappointment with this vehicle is the tremendous road noise, . It is so bad, one cannot have a normal conversation without raising your voice,or play the radio at normal volume..

Inclusive review, maintenance, services, quality inside and outside. Interior workmanship and design were and remain very good.

All the above, plus maintenance team have been considtantly on top of the 126,000 miles so far. Minor replacement or repair of worn out parts, small auto-door motors, engine belts, etc., have been handled expeditiously. The draw back has been the actual MPG which around town has been only 13 mpg, and on long trips, less than 20 mpg.

Entourage van

We bought our van new in2007. WE now have 113000 miles on it. It has been mostly trouble free. The few minor problems were taken care of under warranty. The steering collum needed a bushing and lube, there was a recall for some door part. It gets excellent gas mileage on the highway:27mpg with no alcohol premium. It is very comfortable on a long trip. The negatives: tire life is relatively short, headlights are not adjustable. We like it very much.

Our Entourage

Too bad that Hyundai chose to no longer manufacture this model. Even though there were a great many problems over the years, such as replacement of Brake switch circuit, Fuse box assembly, Stop lamp switch, Right power door slider, Remote control motor for left sliding door, Horn assembly, Grille assembly, Belt idler bearing, Power steering pressure hose, and Valve canister, I believe many of these problems would have been eliminated by engineers in subsequent years of manufacture. Perhaps the biggest weakness of the model can be found in the brakes. We have had to replace the front and back brakes at 44,809 miles due to warping of the rotors. We had to replace front brakes at 80,265 miles for the same reason. It is my belief that the rotors on my particular vehicle were faulty because I do not ride the brakes, I do not do hard braking, and do nothing other than what one would do in ordinary, everyday driving. As a contrast, my friend and neighbor bought the same model Entourage that I bought, at the same time, from the same dealer---with one exception: He purchased the Limited Edition and I purchased the SE edition because I did not want the leather seats. The two vans were the same in color and appearance. As of last week, he has over 112,000 miles on his van and has had NO brake replacements or problems to date. My van has 80,000 plus miles. My conclusion: the Limited Edition must have had a different set of Rotors than my SE. On the plus side, this van has been the best performing, best riding, and best handling vehicle we have ever owned---and we have owned quite a few. I would buy another, but, alas, they have been out of production for a number of years. We will be replacing the van soon, as it is quite old (like me! ) and so we have to do some "shopping."

This vehicle has served us well over the last 10 years and 160,000 miles. But sadly in the last year it has been plagued with electrical problems. So it's time to move on.

Enjoying Our Entourage

I bought this vehicle with about 85,000 miles on it and now have 152,000. It has given me no significant engine or transmission problems and has been wonderfully reliable. I do most of my own maintenance, and have found the routine things (oil change, air and cabin filters, plugs, brakes, etc) to be as easily accessible as any other vehicles I have ever owned and significantly easier than several. It is also comfortable and has a spacious feel (though I have never ridden in the very back seats).
