Checks all the boxes. Usability of console and seat comfort could be better

The EV charging map is non-existent. If you are in a long trip that outlasts the EV charge, it will tell you based on theoretical mileage but won't recommend to you a charging station. The profile function is awkward to use. The seat material can be a bit more comfortable.

When I first laid eyes on the Ioniq 5 I was loke what is this? I immediately started doing research. After test driving I was sold. The Ioniq 5 has a smooth exterior and comfortable interior. The power is something I never experienced before.

Great Car - Beautiful Design - Needs Software Improvements & 12V System Help

This car was great for 8 months until i had 12v battery system failure. Dealership and Hyundai communication are terrible but I loved every second of my time with the car and I would surely buy again.

GREAT CAR

I enjoy driving the car. There are minor performance issues. A forward sensor went out and has been back ordered for several weeks. There is a constant reminder when driving that the forward collision sensor is inoperative, There's a rattle developed in the cabin difficult to isolate. Annoying. But not buying gasoline? a real good thing.

Love the styling but build quality remains a question

Love the styling and performance of this car. However, after experiencing some issues that took longer than expected to fix. Build quality remains a question of concern. It seems that the issues have been resolved for the time being, but only time will tell if I made a great decision buying the Ioniq 5. Luckily, the warranty for Hyundai is longer than other manufacturers. I have that on my side if the same issues reappear.

Brought back the enjoyment of driving

This car is great! It’s smooth driving, powerful, and the handling and breaking had a great feel to it. The regenerative breaking system is fun to play with, but slightly annoying to try and figure out what is the most energy/range effective. The screens are a great size, and the interior and exterior design is really nice looking. Still getting people checking out my car while I’m driving on the road. 6k on the car so far and experiencing a bit of rattling noise sometimes in the dash and in the lift mechanism for the back latch, but nothing horrible.

Good but has flaws

Overall the car is great. The range especially in the winter has been disappointing. It's it has gone through three software updates so far taking at least a half a day at the dealership. The battery preconditioning update ruin the economy mode so that it is no longer useful. It will have to go in for another update to cure that problem. The service staff at Key Hyundai doesn't seem like they've been trained enough to deal with this car. The driver profile system is horrible. You cannot adjust it without it already adjusting for the last person who was in it. My wife is a good 7-in shorter than me and every time I get it after she drives it I get jammed into the steering wheel. The controls on the dashboard are easily touched accidentally in a lot of the things you use a lot like heated seats and he did steering wheel the steps to go through them are too much. The navigation works well but you have to go through a lot of stuff to get to what you need. It sounds like I'm making a lot of complaints but I am very happy with the car. Charging at Electrify America will you get free charging for 2 years has been horrible. The app for that is bad the information you get about the available Chargers is very unreliable in the place I charge at has six units and at least two of the units are down almost all the time.

All good except rattling noise from front door

Its a great car. It drives smooth and turns heads. However there were two things that have been a little disappointing. 1. Rattling noise that comes from front door. 2. Highway range can be very inflated. I would not trust it 100%. There have been times that it calculated almost double than what it can deliver.

Could have more standard equipment for the price.

Good car , good range but needs more - like 400. 300 is too low. I have charge more frequently and we don’t always have 40 minutes to spare . Cheap interior materials , cheap rear view mirror. For a $50K car, it should be equipped with more options. Hyundai should replace my rear view mirror for free. It’s cheap plastic. It’s embarrassing.

Amazing car, one draw back

Everything about this car is amazing, the only draw back is the lack of a rear windshield wiper. The car drives so smooth and charges up fast. Very quiet on the inside and handles great, Espinoza sport mode

Nice car

We are retired, as such charging issues and learning curve are tolerable. Not sure I’d feel the same if I were commuting daily or making frequent extended trips. Otherwise, it has been a great car that has been a perfect fit for our current needs.

Great vehicle, but some caveats

This car is fast, fun and stylish. Super quiet. Great features like turn signal cameras that you didn't know you needed till you have them. But the materials are wearing quickly; even the bumper cracked during normal driving (in light snow). Range is less than promised, especially on freeway, making this car less than friendly for road tripping. But overall, I love it and am happy I purchased it.

Terrific EV!

I've owned my Hyundai Ioniq 5 for a year. It has proven to be a very good EV with great range, quick acceleration, and wonderful interior space. The Bose sound system is great, and the car's looks and handling are top-notch.

First electric vehicle and I love it

I love the look of this car and how it handles. The Ioniq 5 ticks all the major boxes from fun to drive, to styling, to range. My gripes are minor but no rear windshield wiper tops the list. I have driven over 9,000 miles and would not hesitate to buy one again.

Love it but broken

I miss my Ioniq 5 terribly. Up until a month ago, no issues then a 3 part main battery failure. It’s been in the shop for a month now. Hyundai service stopped calling as well. Been renting a Tesla- charging is much easier. Honestly, I just want my car back- and no ETA.

Great car with a few challenges

Design and efficiency with a far superb charging system are the pillars of the Ioniq5. Super fast charging capability and the best combination of size, roominess, ease of access and great overall value. AWD works well and when temps are above 50 degrees I get more than the OEM range (285-290). All evs sboukdnhave heated seats front and rear and heated steering wheels. Paint quality and hood design mean excessive stone chips. One of the few times I’d recommend paint protection film.

IONINQ5 is a good car but has a few flaws

IONIQ5 is a fun car to drive. Although super fast charging is no longer available Electrify America, it still charges faster than most. Hyundai needs to fix some annoying rattling sounds (trunk, seatbelts), and use better plastic that easily scuff inside.

nice car...…bad experience with MI dealers, nice styling, very expensive for electrical car. If I knew HYUNDAY doesn't care about customers in Michigan state, I will never bought the car.....VERY DISAPOINTED

Great EV for our household

Great EV for the household of 4 or less. Fun to drive, and pleasure to own. App has room for improvement, such as mileage accuracy. OTA feature is finally available. Wish it has USB C and wireless Android Auto.
