Poor Highway Miles

This vehicle has extremely poor highway miles ! Do not guarantee someone to get 230+ miles after a full charge when in reality all you get after a 100% charge is less then 200 miles . I would not recommend to anyone who drives a lot of highway miles.

Car won't start

Brand new car won't start. I bought the car brand new, now the car won't start on cold weather and nobody seems to know the reason for the issues. The local dealership won't even service the vehicle as I didn't purchase it from them.

Inaccurate range on full charge

No range Only getting 150 miles on a full charge with no consumer items like heated seats or lights on. It’s not even close to the 220 Miles stated on The window sticker. I’m checking into a class action lawsuit as this vehicle renders itself almost useless in its current form

Customers who pay 50-60k for a vehicle should be happy with their purchase. I'm. Not. Now here's a bunch of meaningless drivel to artificially inflate the word count in order to meet an arbitrary limit.

Nice design still need to fix battery issues

Car had major electrical issue deal would not give update in a timely manner very unsatisfied I want this vehicle bought back i do not feel safe to put my family in this vehicle anymore dealer doesn't give updates

Bait and switch

Paid over sticker. Irritating and disinterested, unresponsive dealer both sales finance and delivery. Overcharged and repeatedly blew delivery dates. Never even approached the range promised. Could have bought the same range for $20k less.

Lemon purchase that company doesn’t want to replace

I haven’t been able to enjoy the vehicle I purchased March 27th, 2023. The car has been at the dealership for 3 consecutive weeks and 3 separate times and when I called your customer service number I was told I wouldn’t get a replacement vehicle and you couldn’t confirm that I would get a full refund on a $60k brand new vehicle because “it came from a 3rd party that would take into account what was wrong with the vehicle”. So your company sold me a lemon and now refuses to take responsibility for it and the dealership won’t even provide us a loaner car so I’m spending over $160 a week just ubering to work. That doesn’t even take into account when I have to buy basic groceries let alone get to any appointments. So I would like either my money back in full, or a brand new replacement vehicle and a reimbursement on all of the Ubers and car rentals since the dealership “didn’t have” any loaner vehicles.

Had to trade in after 4 days and lost money the AC and Heating failed to work it was unsafe to drive when it is raining from foggy windows service appointment wasn’t available for 60 days lost $5000 when I trade it in for an Ioniq 6

Vehicle doesn't charge at advertised rate.

After 4 attempted fixes over 72 days at the dealer, the car still would not charge at greater than 6 amps without overheating. Was bought back as a lemon, but we saw multiple cars with the same issue.

Solid design with poor execution in key areas

In genereal it's a solid car and enjoyable but the drawbacks make it not worth the purchase especially at the price. Some features are outright unusable or so cumbersome and inconvenient they make themselves unusable. Others are nice and function well or are even pleasant to look at or experience.

Great by itself, painful as a whole

Ioniq 5 is a very nice car, great to drive and fun to use. but when it is time to charge it, things go ugly very quickly. you get 2 year free charge (30min) on Electrify America which is great, but only if those stations are working and there not several other cars waiting in line to get charge. Their app issues is another thing that make charging experience a bad one. you can charge on other companies stations, but it is going to be same price as gas. so why would someone switch? why should I pay way more for car itself, and also pay same amount for electricity again? Also the range on the car is so sensitive to every little thing happen to the car. so you really cannot trust the range you see, because let's say it gets cold, and you gonna lose charge. so you can't be sure if you gonna get home!

Battery Problems in Two Weeks of Ownership

Battery Problems less than two weeks of ownership and less than 450 miles. Was driving on a major interstate when the car would no longer accelerate and I had to pull to the side. Very dangerous as I was close to being rear-ended.

Car is great, but the dealer network is horrible

Great Car but dealers are beyond horrible and are doing a disservice to the brand. I would much rather buy direct from Hyundai and just have the local service center. I almost decided to buy a different brand because of the dealer network have earned the sleazy reputation. The local dealer adds no value at all, and if anything they take away from from it.

for a car with so much tech, it fails in alot of basic ways

has a mobile app, but iphone wont work as a key or remote start the car (android does) doors do not lock when you walk away personal settings like- how much regen braking , which mode you are in - does not stick when you turn off the car

Charging failure

Its a fun car to drive and looks good, but the most basic thing needed to operate the vehicle fails, and that is the charging. Additionally there is too much reliance on technology and they tried to put in too many features that just seem to fail between software updates.
