The replacement becomes the lead

I sold my Tesla vehicle on account of the company’s descent into Nazism. After research, I chose this IONIQ 5 based on the car’s range and reliability. In every regard beyond those two characteristics, and by any measure, this Hyundai is an exceptional vehicle. It would bury any Tesla.

Wow, an unexpected driving joy, love it

Easy and fun to drive, easy to charge battery, flexible utility, fantastic ride and smooth quiet operation, great looking, leased it to try out my first EV, when the lease is up will seriously consider buying one. Might be my favorite car ever. It’s that good. No issues yet 🤞

Excellent overall. Controls somewhat complicated and difficult to use.

I love the features and how the car drives. The entertainment system is complicated and confusing. The regenerative braking control options are complicated and confusing. The car says "Charging unsuccessful" when I plug in the charger, but it always seems to charge OK anyway.

Ioniq handles really well and especially like the charging range.

So far, so great! Like the feel of the car and its ability to carry four passengers even five comfortably. Lots of backend storage. And we find the car pretty peppy so rarely have to take it out of Eco mode and we’re getting some great mileage.

Great Car!

I replaced a 2 1/2 year old Nissan Leaf. The Ioniq 5 feels so much more sturdy as well as elegant and fun to drive. The battery range is excellent, often getting 350 miles shown on the display. I'm very happy with this purchase.

2025 Ioniq 5 SE is an excellent value

We bought a new 2025 Ioniq 5 SE primarily to reduce our impact on carbon emissions but got much more. The car is a dream to drive, especially on the windy, mountainous roads of western North Carolina. It hugs the road and taking corners is made even easier with using regenerative braking. The 2035 model is outfitted with a NACS charging port, which allows us to use Tesla charging stations without an adapter. We are slightly disappointed in the lack of a spare tire (it relies on a "tire mobility kit" instead) and find tha owner's manual to be difficult to understand. These are very minor issues compared to the pleasure we find in driving and knowing that we have measurably reduced the amount of our air pollution.

Great balance of function and form

Excellent commuter and travel car. Feels like a “hot hatchback” and is a lot of fun to drive. Charging is easy but too bad not same side as Tesla. Inside is really roomy and comfortable! Our favorite new car!
