Amazing all-around vehicle

I really like basically everything about this car. It handles well. Range is great. Interior is very comfortable, both front and back - my 6'5" dad has plenty of room in the rear row. The phone charger in the center console is very well-positioned. Information and most controls are where I'd intuitively expect them to be. I like the physical buttons they have over the touch controls I saw on the pre-2025 models, though I wish even more things were buttons instead of touch controls, like the overhead lights and some of the climate controls. The drive-assist features are very good. Lane assist keeps me from drifting; automatic lane change works well though I prefer to do that manually. My only real annoyance is that the system tracking your eyes to make sure they're on the road sometimes has false-positives for you looking away, and will ping you to look back at the road when that's where you're already staring. It might be a combination of bright light in your face and/or wearing glasses. Most of the time it's fine.

Truly a well thought out car

I'm used to compromise in most vehicles I've previously used, this feels like the first time I'm making no compromises. Right down to the littlest details, it just feels so well thought out. Also the fact that Hyundai is actually listening to consumers about critical features like CarPlay / Android Auto, instead of trying to gouge customers like every other manufacturer with their own inferior subscription based infotainment solutions... Well done Hyundai. You'll keep winning more customers this way, let your competitors fail.

Everything done well

Could not be happier with the vehicle. The range is better than expected. The ride is luxiours without being squishy. The acceleration is phenomenal. The tech is great and it works. Overall, we are extremely happy with the vehicle and give it two thumbs up.

Best car I've owned, bar none

As a GM Volt owner, was looking to make the switch to full electric. Live in a rural area, and typical drive would be close to 200 miles or a bit more, so was looking for a car with enough wiggle room on range and capacity that most of the time I could get by with only charging to 80% to increase battery life. Went with the long range battery rear wheel drive. Couldn't be happier with it. Was worried about having enough space to replace our Subaru Outback on Costco & Trader Joe runs, but it handles me & my wife, 3 large coolers & 2 FULL Costco carts of groceries easily without having to Tetris much at all...despite the significantly smaller reported cargo volume! Driving & handling are a dream. I opted for the HUD, and like it. Lane centering is a VERY nice feature, esp on interstate and is MUCH better than lane departure on my old Volt or our Subaru. Getting close to 10k miles, and have only charged up away from home twice, which was really easy at Tesla Super chargers. I have a decent level 2 charger (30A) for my Volt that I installed years ago that is working fine with the adaptor.

Loving it so far!

It's our first EV, so we don't have anything to compare the EV part to, but as a car, it.feels incredibly well built. It's very comfortable for both drivers and passengers, and driving is very fun.

Wonderful vehicle

This is a great electric vehicle. The one trend that I completely hate about EVs is the big honking monitor floating in the center of the front dash. Hyundai thankfully did not follow that trend and it has two main screens, one for the driver and one for the infotainment/controls. Everything else about the car is great, but the non-monitor is what brought me to the dealer. I won't ever buy a car with the big monitor.

I love my Ioniq, though there are a few odd things…

The best spaceship I’ve owned! It is comfortable, smooth, spacious, a joy to drive, and has so many bells and whistles - top techie feel. However, there are some issues with the RFID phone recognition. Sometimes it works great (and recognizes the phone when inside the car), and others I have to put my phone in the right spot in the right way for the car to start. Many of the oddities have been chalked up to user error, but the phone recognition issue happens once a week. It has not been significant enough to warrant a trip to the dealership, though. I love the variety of instrumentations displayable. Charging is slower than the official numbers, but that’s mostly due to the variety in charging infrastructure (watts and ports).

I waited years for this car and it did not disappoint

I immediately felt at home even as soon as I was test driving the Ioniq 5. First, the performance is awesome. Second, the car seems sized just right - definitely not small but also not huge.

Best Vehicle I have Ever Owned!

Hands down the best vehicle I have ever owned. We went from a 2021 ID4 with basically no physical buttons and very unintuitive system configurations to this beauty of a vehicle. It is everything I want in a vehicle, minus the payload capacity... Hyundai, build a real truck!
