Terrific electric vehicle with a luxury feel

I had a choice between various all-electric vehicles (I REFUSED to buy a Tesla though, since I don't want to contribute to Elon Musk's financial success as he tears our government apart and heartlessly fires people without cause), and the Ioniq 6 quickly rose to the top of the list. It has a great range, which was my frustration with my previous EV (2019 LEAF), it is very attractive and has a smooth glide-like ride that makes driving such a pleasure.

Hyundai ioniq 6 is a great car for first time EV buyers

Hyundai ioniq 6 is a great car for first time EV buyers. The ergonomics are like a normal gas car, meaning there are buttons and familiar gauges unlike other EV that only rely on screens. Driving the ioniq 6 is a real pleasure. It drives more comfortable with better suspension than a Tesla model 3, yet is sporty enough with superior handling in comparison to the Hyundai ioniq 5. The rear seat legroom is significant better than a Tesla model 3. Build quality is just as good as the ioniq 5 and vastly superior than Tesla, build materials are average though. The biggest drawback and complaint for ioniq 6 is the rear trunk space is smaller than Tesla model 3 and the frunk is tiny. The infotainment is easy to use but the software and maps is a bit behind Tesla, fortunately using android auto or apple carplay will alleviate this. Overall with these minor gripes aside, with impressive ride quality, charging speed, and good driving range, the ioniq 6 is a great EV for everyone.

It's a whole different experience

I'd never driven an EV before leasing this car. I've had a number of sports cars in the past but this is a whole different world! The car is very comfortable, drives wonderfully, and accelerates like a bat out of heck! Never having to stop at a gas station again just makes it all that much better. I was a bit hesitant about an EV - range anxiety, how to "fill" it up, etc. - but I have zero regret about getting this car. They're scarce as hens teeth but work the search.

This car is the best modern sedan (and seriously underrated)

This beautiful machine will transport you to a world of acceleration and joy. You can imagine yourself as a middle manager in the 60's or 70's with immaculate nails and clearly sufficient wads of cash, cruising down the streets as a king of his world. Sit in the comfort of a vehicle that will make you feel like the world is ok - even if the world is burning and everything could come crashing down in the blink of an eye. Everything is fine in this car. You deserve a sedan that can bring you this serenity, nostalgia, and technological comfort, all the while not breaking the bank for an ironic luxury truck whose bed will never see anything more than a couple 2x4s.

Fun to drive.

I'm very happy so far. The car is sleek, efficient and fun to drive. It corners well and has plenty of pep. More than I need, actually. The battery has been good. I live in cold weather so it drops pretty significantly....down to around 240 fully charged. But as now with warmer weather I'm getting over 300 miles. (320 yesterday.) I find the climate controls a bit clunky....I'm constantly trying to figure out how to get what I want from them, especially heat. (Glad you improved the heat seat control.) The driver assistance warnings have been a but funky...sometimes (not often) when I'm at a light, they start sending warnings for car in front, car to the side, even when there is no movement around me.

Quibbles

Pop-out door handles are poor choice. if left unlocked in a parking lot it is obvious to anyone who might want to break in . When automatic steering is engaged, it might be a good idea to sound an alarm (beep?) if it disengages.

Very comfortable and engaging to drive

I find the car has a great balance of comfort and driving engagement, the suspension gives a composed ride but feels confident around turns despite some body roll. The comfortable and practical interior is something that sold me, I appreciate the seat comfort and arm rest layout, the cabin controls are easy to use. Trunk space is one issue, it would be very nice if it were a true hatch instead of an enclosed trunk.

Great Alternative to Tesla

I used to own a Tesla 3 until Elon showed his true colors. I quickly searched for an alternative and this was great. This car has some better features and really shows the mileage correctly. So the miles it says you have is very close to what you get. That is not what Tesla does. This car could have more storage space, but the roominess of the rear seats is better. I missed Apple Car Play and love having it again.
