Charging and lane assist issues

We have the Tesla port on the Ioniq 9 but I can't just pull up to any Tesla station to charge and now I'm having issues with the Tesla charging station I was able to charge with before. We were using our home charger provided by Hyundai and it seems to have stop charging for some reason. We previously owned a Kia Sorento with perfect lane assist but it seems the Ioniq and the EV9 can't figure out exactly how to center to that lane.

Less than 2000 miles in: TURTLE MODE!

Car reports, literally, nothing wrong yet here I am with basically a useless vehicle. Super disappointed that I have to deal with this issue at a dealership I don’t like.

Smooth ride, but I wish the Limited had additional features.

I traded in a Limited Palisade and lost some of the functions I had (i.e., heads up display) in the Limited Ionic 9. Feel it should've been included.

Missed opportunities

I traded a Kia Carnival Prestige for the Ioniq 9 Caligraphy and was a little surprised that it was more of a lateral move except for going all electric. The Kia had window shades on all rear side windows but the Ioniq 9 only has them for the second row, the front passenger seat should have had the massage feature also and it’s been difficult getting accessories.

Does the job

Love the room for six and the air conditioner is the best. The charging is easy and the SUV goes a long way. The recalls are frustrating and I hope this does not continue.

Excellent vehicle. I wish the SE has automated folding mirrors.

It is a well built luxury car but missing a few features such as automated folding mirrors, two memory buttons for two drivers positions, and garage door openers buttons.

Better reliability and smart features

Surprisingly doesn’t have auto turn off and auto lock on walk away; and where you can save your home location so you don’t get notified of doors unlocked there, in the gps don’t have Tesla superchargers as part of the charging stations available, interface could be so much easier and smarter to navigate, auto adjust seats based on the driver profile and storing that

Our opinions on the car for June through September 2025.

From our point of view, the car has some cons that are hard for us to ignore. We're not happy that the model we're paying for doesn't have some of the things we assumed it would for a car this expensive and a very new design. New to the EV world.

The vehicle, with a few caveats (due primarily to poorly designed touch screen functions) is a winner---mostly. While the sales process was fine, the dealership doesn't prepare the newby with the real-world issues of owning an EV. Charging times, expense of a full charge, spotty Tesla chargers (some work, some don't!)---all things that a new owner needs to know!

Great car overall!

I love the overall look, both inside and out. The ride is smooth. There isn’t enough storage space near the driver. A bucket-style holder in the middle floor area, not extending too high, would have been a great addition. It would have been helpful if surrounding cars were shown while driving, and if the camera automatically activated when parking.

Luxury above Range Rover

This vehicle is more beautiful than a Velar with more tech than a Tesla. There could be better attention to detail in assembly as the vehicle came with a few displaced parts but overall it is well built and a joy to own.

Comfortable. Good-Range. Safe. Fast. Fast-to-Charge. Leading Tech.

I'm enjoying the vehicle a ton with a couple of asterisks. Ride, comfort, and all headline items are all top-of-the-line, great. Minor issues: Delivered with a 3rd row seat that won't go up. Service couldn't immediately fix. Still unresolved. A/C on two occasions didn't kick in till 30-40 minutes. Not fun when the outside temperature is 90 degrees. That said, I still love the vehicle.

Initial Review

I am enjoying so many features. The reason I did not give 5 stars is because my tire blew up (at 2300 miles) and I have yet to get an explanation as to the cause. There is no evidence of a puncture in the tread. I also have had some ratting sounds that come and go, which I have brought to the attention of the dealer.

Good overall

The car i overall good. Theres just a few things i do not like or maybe i havent found the setting I dont like when lvl recerts back to lvl3 for acceleration and i always have to change it manually. I dont like how you cannot put a charge limit. Ambient lights should automatically turn off during day time.

Overall, I’ve been very happy with my Ioniq 9.

I really enjoy driving it and think it’s a strong EV overall. If Hyundai can address the infotainment experience, navigation quality, and a few of these smaller issues, it would take the Ioniq 9 from a very good EV to an exceptional one.

6'-2" tall driver

I love almost everything about my Ioniq 9. However, I'm really disappointed in the heads up display. At 6'-2" I can't see all of the heads up display. I have adjusted it as far as it will let me electronically. I needs to have a mechanical adjustment that can be changed at the dealer.
