best looking & technically designed auto with poor finishing details
We bought our car at the end of September and discovered that it had been damaged either at the factory and/or during transport to Kirkland, WA. So, our use of the car is very limited as it had about only 71 miles when we finally took it home, January 15th. With 221 miles now on the car, we are beginning to appreciate all the benefits of the car. Most frustrating, however, is the lack of a well-organized, easy to understand owner's manual. We find the manual in the car limited. And the PDF version easy to read but very disorganized. For example, when searching for information about driver assist for example, the table of contents indicates page 409, but when I look for that page I only see page 408. Page 409 is missing! I checked with ChatGPT and it described the PDF version of the owner's manual as combination of traditional organization and concept organization. This is frustrating. When I look for videos for explanations about the same, I'm directed to you and watch someone, who is not a representative of Hyundai, explaining driver assist but missing lots of detail.
Later, we attempted to practice the secret/spare key approach to opening the car. In the video the person easily slide the key box (whatever it's called) catch easily, didn't really show which way (right or left, inside or out) to push the lever. We busted thumbnails attempting to do the same, before deciding to postpone until we visit the service department some time in the future. So in summary, while we enjoy driving the car, practicing the use of various facets of this technically awesome car is not easy to accomplish. We think Hyundai can do a lot better in providing better education for new owners.
